Not of This Earth is a 1988 remake of the 1957 science fiction-horror Not of This Earth. The film was directed by Jim Wynorski. The film was made as a result of a wager where Wynorski bet he could remake the film in the same (inflation-adjusted) budget and schedule as the 1957 version by Roger Corman.

This film starred Traci Lords (in her first mainstream film role after a brief adult film career) as a nurse, Arthur Roberts as Mr. Johnson the alien, Lenny Juliano as Jeremy, Roger Lodge as Harry the patrolman, Ace Mask as Dr. Rochelle, and Kelli Maroney as Nurse Oxford. This film marks the last time Traci Lords appears nude in a motion picture. Like any number of Roger Corman productions, this one includes scenes lifted from earlier films as filler, such as the dog in the foggy woods and the woman being stalked from outside her home, as originally seen in Humanoids from the Deep, as well as the scene of the caped, knife-wielding stalker from Hollywood Boulevard.

An alien (Arthur Roberts) travels to Earth seeking a new supply of blood for his dying world. Initially he seeks a supply through the medical establishment, using special mental powers and money to accomplish his aim. The film is campy, and Lords adds a comedic twist to the plot.

On November 2, 2010, Shout! Factory released the film on DVD as part of its Roger Corman Cult Classics collection.

In Drake Industries Research Lab in Kauai, Hawaii, two creatures, Supergator & Dinocroc, are being studied. However, Supergator breaks free from the lab and eats two scientists before escaping into the water. Dinocroc also breaks free by breaking the wall and crushing another scientist. It also eats two scientists and goes into the trees. Jason Drake (David Carradine) calls an elite army group to kill the creatures, but they are killed by Dinocroc. Drake then calls in Fish & Game hunter Bob Logan (Rib Hillis) who is also known as "The Cajun" to kill the two creatures. While spying on Drake's lab, Paul Beaumont (Corey Landis) meets a cop, Cassidy Swanson (Rasimas). While Drake has his private party, he meets up with a girl named Victoria Chase. Drake tells her to be with The Cajun. The Cajun meets with Victoria and they both go on a boat and down the river. Paul & Cassidy observe the huge mushrooms. As they hear Kimberly Taft asking for help, they help her in the jeep with the Dinocroc chasing after them. It's up to Paul, Cassidy, and "The Cajun" to kill the creatures before it's too late. Cassidy and her father attempt to shoot at Supergator. Cassidy's father, Charlie, shoots the Supergator's eye, presumably blinding it, and is devoured. As Supergator eats Charlie, Cassidy gets in the car and drives off. The Supergator then chases her all the way to the mill. As Supergator reaches the end of the tunnel, Bob & Paul blow it up with a C-4 so Supergator & Dinocroc can't escape. The two reptiles engage in battle, in which Dinocroc wins after knocking Supergator on its soft underbelly and attacks it. Paul then throws a bomb for the explosion. After Dinocroc kills Supergator, it spots Paul and walks towards him as Paul hides in a trough filled with water, protecting himself from the explosives. The bomb explodes, knocking back and killing Dinocroc. Paul is assumed to be killed as well, but he survives the attack and before he and Cassidy leave, the camera then turns to Dinocroc and Supergator, which are both dead as one is burning and another is bleeding. As Paul and Cassidy walk away, in the mill are babies, of either Dinocroc or Supergator.

Two piranhacondas hunt for their stolen egg. Scientist Professor Lovegrove, who stole the egg, hitchhikes to a Hawaiian island and meets a movie crew filming on location. The star, the scientist, and some crew members are kidnapped and held for ransom. A piranhaconda roaming the island devours several women and some scientists who are searching for a rare flower. The snake follows the film crew, who are in a truck, but it is wounded by a grenade. The second piranhaconda arrives and, sensing blood, attacks and kills its wounded mate. It then decides to track down the film crew. Lovegrove reveals that he had the egg, so they try to escape via boat, but the piranhaconda stalls their plans. Lovegrove pretends to get rid of the egg, but doesn't, causing the creature to follow them. The crew become trapped by five remaining kidnappers, but the piranhaconda eats the kidnappers. Lovegrove, Jack, and Rose get back to the boat, but Jack stays on shore to destroy the creature. On the boat, Rose realizes that Lovegrove had the egg all along. She throws it into the river and shoves him overboard. He is then killed by the piranhaconda. Rose goes back to shore and finds Jack. Using the egg, they lure the piranhaconda to a waterfall. Jack slips a bomb into the case and throws it at the beast; then he and Rose jump into the river below. The bomb goes off and decapitates the piranhaconda. The two make a date with one another. They kissed before being killed by a third piranhaconda, thus ending the film.
