Omar Killed Me (French: Omar m'a tuer) is a 2011 drama film directed by Roschdy Zem. The film has been selected as the Moroccan entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. On January 18, 2012, the film was named as one of the nine shortlisted entries for the Oscars. Zem, Olivier Gorce, Rachid Bouchareb and Olivier Lorelle were collectively nominated for the 2012 Best Writing (Adaptation) César Award and Sami Bouajila was nominated as Best Actor.
Synopsis
The film tells of the events that began in the summer of 1991 when wealthy heiress, Ghislaine Marchal, was found murdered in the basement of her home with the message "Omar M'a Tuer" (grammatically incorrect French, approximately "Omar has kill me") written beside in her own blood. Despite a lack of forensic or DNA evidence, her Moroccan gardener, Omar Raddad, was immediately charged, found guilty and sentenced to 18 years in a French prison. Shocked by the case and convinced of his innocence, journalist Pierre-Emmanuel Vaugrenard moved to Nice to investigate.Actors

In 1927, Isadora Duncan has become a legend as the innovator of modern dance, a temperamental bohemian, and an outspoken advocate of free love. Now past 40, she lives in poverty in a small hotel on the French Riviera with her companion Mary Estelle Dempsey/Mary Desti (named only as Mary in the film) and her secretary Roger, to whom she is dictating her memoirs. In 1815 Edmond Dantès, second mate of a French trading ship, and his friend Fernand Mondego, a representative of the shipping company, head to the isle of Elba to seek medical attention for their ailing captain. Dantès and Mondego are chased by British Dragoons who believe they are spies for the exiled Napoleon Bonaparte. Bonaparte himself comes to their aid, stating that they are not his agents. As payment for using his physician, Bonaparte asks Dantès to deliver a letter to a certain Monsieur Clarion in France. The captain dies, however, and they leave Elba. On returning to France, Dantès is reprimanded by the ship's first mate, Danglars, for disobeying orders. However, the company's boss, Morrell, commends Dantès' bravery, promoting him to captain over Danglars, who is left fuming. Mondego intercepts Dantès' fiancée, Mercédès, and tries to seduce her. When he hears of Dantès' promotion, Mondego realizes that Dantès and Mercédès would soon be married.

1970s Marseille is ruled by a brutal drug gang importing morphine from Turkey, transforming it and exporting heroin to New York, called la French.
