Synopsis
Bank (Pawarith Monkolpisit) is a small-time hoodlum in Bangkok. He uses drugs, and sometimes works for some local gangsters, smuggling guns and drugs. One day he meets Som, a teenage girl who works as a prostitute. The pair fall in love, and in a bid to better their lives, they get into a drug deal that is too big for either of them.Comments

Jiney, an art and photography student, wins an award for her work. Her male friend and co-student, Anson, congratulates her but she tells him that although she won an award, she is unhappy with the work. Her friend Jas, who she lives with, takes her from school on a 'date' and they went out to take photographs. Jiney's mother tells her that she is going away on business for a month. Later, she witnesses a fatal car accident (see also Leave Me Alone) and takes photographs of it. She finds herself obsessed with death and begins to take photographs of more explicit death subjects - chickens being killed, fish being scaled, dead birds and others. She talks about suicide, and there are flashbacks to an apparent incident from her youth when she was sexually abused by some young boys.

On February 6, 1846, at Paradise Square in Lower Manhattan's Five Points, a territorial battle of hand-to-hand combat between Bill "the Butcher" Cutting's U.S.-born nativist gang, the Natives, and "Priest" Vallon's Irish Catholic immigrant gang, the Dead Rabbits, concludes when Cutting kills Vallon, witnessed by Vallon's young son, Amsterdam. Cutting declares the Dead Rabbits outlawed but orders that Vallon's body be buried with honor. The film focuses on Kinta, a member of the Himori Yakuza, who has been put in charge of the gang's pork distribution and his girlfriend Haruko, who works at a bar. Kinta is shown working with other gangsters, beating up a local shopkeep who caters to Americans and paying the people who work on the hog farm. When Kinta goes to visit Haruko in the afternoon she leaves without speaking to him and Kinta finds out through her sister that Haruko is being paid 30000 yen to go on a date with a sailor (and that her mother has already spent the money).
