Synopsis
Onnaman movie is all about Ravishanker (Mohanlal) who is a street-urchin comes under the patronage of Salim Bhai( N F vargees ), a self-styled messiah of the masses and a don too. When Ravishankar grows up, he becomes an adviser to Salim Bhai. With the help of his gang of young friends, Ravishankar soon emerges as a leader of the poor and the oppressed. Naturally, the 'bad' guys led by Gulab Chand Sha, resent him and do everything possible to eliminate Ravishankar.Actors

Parvataneni Tulasi Ram aka Tulasi (Venkatesh) is a native of Palnadu region. Major Ravi Mamman (Mammootty) arrests two LTTE terrorists in Bangalore, who are on a mission to assassinate the Indian prime minister on his visit to the city. On the run, he identifies the government minister K.K.Nair (Janardanan) as the main conspirator behind the assassination plot. Nair anticipates a political coup after the death of the prime minister, through which he hopes to seize power. However, Mamman's attempts foil his ambition. Nair tries to buy out Mamman, who refuses his offers. In an attempt to save himself, Nair shoots Ravi Mamman, but the bullet accidentally hits Susan, Mamman's girlfriend, who dies on the spot. Nair fabricates a criminal case against Ravi Mamman, of killing Susan. Ravi is court-marshalled and sent to jail. Upon release, Ravi leaves to Dubai, where he emerges as a successful businessman in a short time. His business empire is spread all over the Middle-East. He is assisted by Chandran Nair (N. F. The story revolves around Ajayan (Mohanlal), who, after having tried his luck in different cities around the world, comes back to his village to look after his ageing mother Ammukutty Amma (Sheela) and to get her love and the nostalgia of his growing up years. There, he starts a company for producing agricultural equipment and earns his living as a farmer. One day a boy comes and meets Ajayan claiming to be his son. Ajayan used to boast himself as a womanizer in his youth is believed to be the boy's father by all villagers. Ammukutty Amma starts getting to like the boy and they form a very friendly relation and eventually she starts accepting the boy as Ajayan's real son, though Ajayan ferociously reject the boy's claim and dislikes him. The boy is persuaded by Ammukkty Amma to get close with Ajayan and subsequent events softens Ajayans attitude towards the boy. Ajayan then set forth to enquire about the real identity of the boy and travels to Chennai. He is absolutely sure that he is not his father as the real truth is his stories about adventures with woman were actually lies to get admiration of his friends. The climax show us that Ajayan accepts the boy as his own son.

Following a tip from a small time lodge owner (Sadique), the ATS conducts a search at the rooms where a group of suspicious youths stayed. Baba Kalyani IPS (Mohanlal), the head of ATS M3 division finds certain vital clues, which he wants to follow after. Upon the permission from Bose Ninan (Venu Nagavally), the IG of police, Baba Kalyani takes arrives in Kochi. He is posted in Law & Order department as undercover with Godwin Joseph (Biju Menon) and a couple of ATS officers assisting him. All his men were newly inducted IPS officers. At Kochi, Kalyani clashes with advocate Ashokan (Murali) and Advocate Madhumitha (Mamta Mohandas), his daughter, who was his ex-girlfriend. A bundle of counterfeit currency is found at a local bank, which was transferred from the account of a charity organization run by Sait Isra Mohammed Haji(Saikumar), a respected businessman. Baba Kalyani reaches out the residence of Isra Mohammed at the same night, Isra denies any knowledge about any hawala dealings in the state. The cash was transferred from the account by Babur (Indrajith Sukumaran), Isra Mohammed's son-in-law, who is also a college lecturer. Babu is king-pin of a terror organization in the state. He along with a bunch of young men had secretly undergone Jihadi training in Pakistan and is planning a massive explosion. But unaware of this, Isra supports him thinking Babu is a normal college lecturer busy with his own life. One morning Isra arrives at Baba Kalyani's residence informing about a group of suspicious young men recently seen at the nearby mosque. He also adds that the Muslyar of the mosque has some doubts regarding their activities. Baba Kalyani, along with Godwin and their group conducts a raid at the house and gathers vital information. The house gets exploded, signing the storage of inflammable explosives. Baba Kalyani, from the prints, maps and photographs concludes that their next target is Palani, a divine pilgrimage center in South India. He arrives at Palani along with his team, where meets up Raghupathi (Siddique), the IG of Tamil Nadu police. With the support of local police, Baba seize the trucks in which the explosives were stored. Baba sends Isra Mohammed as a negotiator to Babu who was hiding along with a group of Jihadis. But unwilling to give up the plan,Babu decides to shoot down Isra. The ATS team conducts a commando operation and shoots down the jihadis aborting their plan.
