La reine Padmavati est connue pour son exceptionnelle beauté alliée à un grand sens de la justice. Elle est l'épouse du Maradjha Ratan Singh et la fierté du royaume de Chittor, un royaume prospère situé au Nord Ouest de l'Inde (Rajasthan). Sa légendaire beauté parvient jusqu'au Sultan indien, Allaudin Khilji.
Synopsis
Padmavati, reine de Mewar au début du 14ème siècle, était connue bien sûr pour sa beauté, mais surtout pour son courage face à l’envahisseur qui assiégeait son royaume.
