Plague is a 2014 Australian horror film directed by Kostas Ouzas and Nick Kozakis, written by Ouzas, and starring Tegan Crowley, Scott Marcus, and Steven Kennedy. After a zombie apocalypse, Evie (Crowley) and her husband John (Marcus) struggle to survive on their own. They receive help in the form of a resourceful stranger, Charlie (Kennedy), who shows up one day and offers to assist them. It had a private screening at the Astor Theatre in Melbourne on 29 October 2014 and premiered at the Fantastic Planet Sci-Fi, Horror, and Fantasy Film Festival on 22 November.
Synopsis
Society breaks down after a virus causes the infected to turn into cannibalistic killers. When Evie's husband John becomes separated from the rest of the group during an attack, the survivors fall back to their emergency shelter. Gary and Evie want to wait for John, as they all agreed they would do in such a circumstance, but Bob becomes increasingly impatient. Citing the realities of the situation, Bob says they must assume John is dead and leave for a more permanent shelter. Although Bob backs down, he later takes the group's car, rifle, and supplies by force. When Gary objects, Bob kills him. Sammy, the group's mechanic, and Marge, Bob's wife, leave with him; Evie stays behind by herself to wait for John.Comments

In the near future, most of humanity has been infected by a variation of a fungus known as the Ophiocordyceps unilateralis (also referred to as a zombie fungus). The infected, referred to as "hungries", quickly lose their mental powers and feed on the flesh of healthy humans. The disease spreads through blood and spit, but can also spread through spores created by the fungus, which needs an unknown trigger to be opened. The few surviving members of the human race live in heavily-guarded Birmingham.

Cannibalistic zombies have overrun the entire world. Barbra (Judith O'Dea) and Johnny Blair (Russell Streiner) drive to rural Pennsylvania for an annual visit to their father's grave. This was their mother's request. Johnny teases, "They're coming to get you, Barbra," noticing Barbra's discomfort. She is then attacked by a strange man (Bill Hinzman). Johnny tries to rescue his sister, but the strange man throws him against a gravestone; Johnny strikes his head on the stone and dies. Barbra flees by car but crashes into a tree. She escapes on foot, with the stranger in pursuit, and later arrives at a farmhouse, where she discovers a woman's mangled corpse. She is confronted by strange menacing figures, running out of the house, like the man in the graveyard. Ben (Duane Jones) takes her into the house. Ben drives the monsters from the house and seals the doors and windows as Barbra slowly descends into shock and insanity.

Tom (Grant Bowler) and Tori (Evalena Marie) are employees at the fictional Silver Star Casino in Reno. On a slow day at the tables, Tom convinces Tori to join him in a stock room for a sexual encounter. At the same time a news report is airing about "Peace Day", a day when the entire world's supply of nuclear weapons is set to be destroyed. Something goes wrong during the event and a nuclear blast occurs, knocking out power to the casino and trapping Tom and Tori behind an electronic lock. When the power is restored they find the casino trashed and people gone, except for an old lady in a power chair who attacks Tori. After dispatching the old lady with a chair leg, they encounter magician's assistant Jensen (Miko Hughes). He tells them that he turned the power back on and that he isn't sure what happened. Tom and Jensen go up front to check the casino security cameras while Tori goes to the front door to look outside. Tom and Jensen see Victor (Anthony Marks) outside throwing a man to the zombies to save himself. Victor bolts into the casino and demands to be let in. Jensen lets him in and takes him to a bathroom to clean up while Tom and Tori decide to start trapping the other zombies in the casino.

Dr. Jennifer Paige brings her sister Lisa to the resort town of Snowfield, Colorado, a small ski resort village nestled in the Rocky Mountains where Jenny works as a doctor. After a zombie apocalypse, Mike and Kim reinforce their cabin in the woods. Whenever their supplies run out, Mike leaves to scavenge. Though Kim wishes to come with him, he insists that she stay behind in the cabin, where she is safe. Mike, who keeps a running tally of the zombies that he destroys, uses a rhythmic series of knocks based on classic rock songs in order to identify himself and prove that he has not become infected. Symptoms of infection include black irises, black blood, and violent paranoia. As the supplies in the area become exhausted, Mike suggests that they return to hunting for their food. Kim refuses, and flashbacks reveal that a second couple, Todd and Erika, lived with them until Todd and Erika ate tainted meat. Mike and Kim are forced to kill both the couple and their own baby, who also ate the tainted food.

In the year 1968, every day is the same for Dr. Robert Morgan (Price): he wakes up, gathers his weapons, and then goes hunting for vampires. A year after the events of Extinction, the Alice clones (Milla Jovovich) attempt to kill Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) at the current Umbrella Headquarters, Tokyo. The clones manage to kill the entire branch, but Wesker makes his way to his private charter tiltrotor plane and escapes before activating a bomb, leaving a massive sinkhole. However, the real Alice boarded his aircraft beforehand. As she pulls a gun on him, Wesker injects her with Anti-Virus before the lack of a pilot makes the aircraft crash in the mountains outside Tokyo. Only Alice emerges from the crash alive.
