Synopsis
The location is the town of El Paris. When ten-year-old boy Quasimodo shows signs of deformity, his well-to-do parents place him in the charge of the town’s mysterious evangelist, Frollo. In exchange, they adopt a Cuban girl, Esméralda, from a lower social class. Ten years later, El Paris is menaced by a serial killer, and Quasimodo is the prime suspect.Actors

Le capitaine Alfred de Morsac (Thierry Lhermitte) accoste en 1918 avec son navire militaire sur une île imaginaire appelée Fenua Poerava (« île de la perle noire » en tahitien), un paradis perdu dans l'archipel polynésien. Il est décoré de la Croix de guerre, et vient former un bataillon de tirailleurs océaniens pour renforcer les troupes de Verdun. Paul et Sali Aloka, désirant adopter un enfant, se voient proposer par l'aide sociale à l'enfance (ASE) d'adopter Benjamin, âgé de 4 mois, mais ils sont noirs (lui martiniquais, elle d'origine sénégalaise) alors que l'enfant est blanc. Selon Claire Mallet, une assistante sociale très réticente, cette adoption est mauvaise pour l'enfant, même si M. Vidal, directeur local de l'ASE, pense que tout se passera bien. Les nouveaux parents se trouvent confrontés à la suspicion et aux fréquents contrôles de l'assistante sociale, aux a-priori des gens (Sali est régulièrement prise pour la nounou). De plus, les parents de Sali, très attachés à la tradition, refusent de reconnaître cet enfant blanc comme leur petit-fils. Mamita, la mère de Sali, finit par se laisser convaincre. Mais alors qu'elle garde Benjamin, elle le confie momentanément à une garde d'enfants sans-papier qui est contrôlée par la police dans la rue. Benjamin est alors retiré à la famille et replacé à la pouponnière de l'ASE. Séparé d'eux, il ne s'alimente plus et doit être hospitalisé. Avertis, Paul, Sali, Mamita et leurs amis vont à l’hôpital, très angoissés. Interdits de voir l'enfant, ils forcent la porte de la nurserie et se réfugient dans une chambre pour le nourrir. Après des menaces du personnel et l'arrivée de la police, tout le monde se rend compte qu'il s'agit d'un malentendu, et Benjamin grandit dans sa nouvelle famille, enfin accepté de tous.

The film stars three real-life juvenile gangsters, all aged 15, giving an accurate depiction of Chinese teenage gang-life in the Singapore suburbs. The 2003 film features two more gangsters as characters as well as a fight sequence with more affluent English-educated Singapore youths. Rather than scripting the movie or employing professional actors, Tan attempted to capture the troubled lives of his characters in realistic fashion, apparently without much prior scripting.

In Gotham City, Batman stops a hostage situation in a bank caused by Two-Face, the alter ego of the disfigured former district attorney, Harvey Dent. However, Two-Face escapes. Edward Nygma, a researcher at Wayne Enterprises, develops a device to beam television directly to a person's brain; Bruce Wayne—with whom Nygma is obsessed—rejects the invention, noting that it "raises too many questions", and Nygma angrily resigns from his position after killing his supervisor Fred Stickley, and forging his suicide note and footage. Everybody except Bruce is convinced it was a genuine suicide. During a news report, it shows how Harvey Dent became Two-Face: While he was prosecuting Sal Maroni, Maroni threw acid in Harvey's face; Batman tried to stop him but failed. After meeting Batman-obsessed psychiatrist Dr. Chase Meridian, Bruce invites her to a charity circus event. There, Two-Face and his henchmen storm the event in an attempt to discover Batman's secret identity, and in the process murder The Flying Graysons, a family of acrobats who attempt to stop him. The youngest member, Dick, survives and throws Two-Face's bomb into the river to detonate safely underwater but the rest of the family dies.

Two mentally ill women who are clearly suffering from not otherwise specified delusional disorders, a mother and a (grown) daughter, live together in a secluded mansion. They are in a relationship and both are recognised for their beauty. They spend their days playing perverse BDSM-related incestuous games in memory of their sadistic patriarch who, when he was still alive, raped his daughter when she was eleven, murdered several servants, and is now a mummified corpse with which the daughter is shown having sex. They occasionally kill their servants and bury their bodies in the garden.
