Synopsis
Querô (Maxwell) is an orphan teenage who lives from side to side, lost in the streets near the port of Santos. The son of a prostitute (Maria Luisa Mendonça), he is unaware of his father. His mother committed suicide when he was a baby taking kerosene. After being beaten by the owner of a pension (Ângela Leal), he flees. The boy starts living of expedients and involved in petty theft. He ends up on Febem, where he explodes all his revolt against the world.Actors

Walter (Kevin Bacon), a convicted child molester, returns home to Philadelphia after serving 12 years in prison. His friends and family have abandoned him, with the exception of his brother-in-law, Carlos (Benjamin Bratt). Walter's apartment is just across the street from an elementary school—an obvious source of temptation. He gets a job at a local lumber mill and meets Vicki (Kyra Sedgwick), one of the few women working there. After sleeping with Vicki, Walter reveals his history of molesting little girls. Vicki is clearly shocked and disturbed by this new information, but before she can consider how to respond to it, Walter tells her to leave his apartment.

In a few weeks, Scottish teenager Liam will turn 16. The film opens with him using his tripod-mounted telescope outdoors on a clear night to show other children the stars and planets. He and his friends exemplify the violent "ned" subculture; they no longer attend school, but instead, hang around isolated areas or wander about all day long. They get money by illicitly selling untaxed cigarettes in a pub, and defy the police. Liam's mother is currently in prison, for a crime she did not commit. She will be released in a few weeks, in time for her son's 16th birthday. She has a boyfriend named Stan, who works as a drug dealer with Liam's grandfather, Rab.

Set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the film begins in a diner called Bennys Billiards, where local tough guy Rusty James is told by Midget that rival group leader Biff Wilcox wants to meet him that night in an abandoned garage lot for a fight. Accepting the challenge, Rusty James then talks with his friends — the wily Smokey, loyal B.J., and nerdy Steve - who all have a different take on the forthcoming fight. In Gothenburg a gang of five black teenage boys act out an elaborate scheme for taking the belongings of one Asian and two white teenage boys, in which the blacks play good cop/bad cop (this is previewed a the very start of the film with an earlier theft from two different boys). First they ask the time. When one of the victims checks the time on his mobile phone they claim it looks like the one that was stolen from a brother of one of them. The three boys have to come along to verify this with the brother. At one point the eight have to flee from a gang of adults, and one black and one white boy together get separated from the other six. By phone they find out the location of the others and reunite. Then after some moving around, one boy of the gang wants to quit; the gang leader responds by beating him up and kicking him. The four remaining gang members proceed with the three boys.

Marie, une prostituée de Marseille, rend visite, très émue, à son fils Simon qu'elle n'a pas vu depuis longtemps et dont elle a confié la garde à Gilles, un berger de la campagne provençale. Afin d'échapper au milieu délétère familial, Simon, attiré par la mer, se met à fréquenter le port et sympathise avec François, un capitaine de marine marchande… Celui-ci, discernant le malaise et l'isolement du gamin, l'embauche comme mousse pendant que Marie va être entraînée au cœur d'un drame à cause de Paul fourvoyé dans une sordide affaire de faux billets.

While a worker begins to investigate the engine for any mistakes, the car surprisingly closes its hood on his hand, injuring him.
