Synopsis
Le garde forestier Tom Corbin surveille le chantier de coupe de bois de la McFarland and lumber company. Il découvre que le contremaitre Bart Williams falsifie à son profit les rapports pour le gouvernement. L'assistant de Williams, le géant Bull Riley, soupçonnant que Tom a tout découvert, lui donne une sévère correction lors d'un combat inégal. Tom fait alors son rapport et le gouvernement envoie l'inspecteur Joe Hanlon qui est assassiné dès son arrivée.Actors

Prospector Tom Grant discovers found a rich gold vein up South. His findings however, soon attract landowner Bart Eaton. Tom's sister Mary heads for the gold fields with Eaton and his men following. Eaton teams up with Ace Daggett who plans to doublecross him and get the gold for himself. They then frame Tom for murder and then try to get him to sign over his claim. The plot is a variation on the standard B-Western "Land Grab" plot: Gold has been discovered in the area and gambler Jim Rodney intends to make sole claim to it by pushing the rightful owners off the land and taking it for himself. To do so he has his henchmen kill an Indian woman, provoking attacks from her tribe. This brings Buffalo Bill and the United States Cavalry into the town. Buffalo Bill proceeds to defeat Rodney and his schemes.

Le samedi matinee foule a deux étoiles de cow-boy pour le prix d'un dans cette série richement budgétisé ouest mettant en vedette l'ancien cow-boy chantant Dick Foran et Buck Jones. Ce dernier a contribué à l'humour pince-sans la procédure, ce qui rend Jones peut-être le soulagement de la comédie B-ouest le mieux payé dans l'histoire. Les deux héros défendent les mineurs de borax Death Valley d'une bande hors la loi dirigée par Wolf Reade. Un casting extraordinairement forte - pour une série, au moins - soutenu les étoiles, dirigé par Charles Bickford comme Reade, Leo Carillo, Lon Chaney, Jr., et l'étoile Monte écran bleu silencieux. Jeanne Kelly principale dame plus tard a changé son nom à Jean Brooks et a joué dans le thriller de RKO atmosphérique La septième victime (1943).

The Hartford Transcontinental Railroad is attempting to build a railroad through "Hell's Gate Pass". However, King Carter, the self-appointed ruler of the land beyod the pass, does not want this to happen. He sends henchmen, including local Indians, to disrupt the construction anyway they can, from sabotage to kidnapping Claire Hartford, the daughter of the company President. The President's assistant, Jeff Ramsay, and his sidekicks, stop King Carter's schemes at every point and eventually defeat him entirely. This opens the area up to new settlers, the first of which is Jeff himself and his new wife Claire.
