It was entered into the 13th Moscow International Film Festival where it won a Special Diploma. The film was also selected as the Romanian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 56th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

Ravi Verma wins a legal battle against Sir Judah, his dead father's business partner. In order to improve their lifestyle, village near Badaun, based Ghulam Hasan (Farooq Shaikh) decides to re-locate to Bombay, on the insistence of his close friend Lalulal Tiwari (Jalal Agha). QSKY radio station manager/program director Jeff Dugan (Michael Brandon) builds a large fan base by assembling a group of charismatic DJ personalities playing popular rock and roll.
