Add to a movie listRover Dangerfield is a 1991 American animated musical comedy film produced by Hyperion Animation and released by Warner Bros., starring the voice talents of comedian Rodney Dangerfield, who also wrote and co-produced the film. It is about a street dog named Rover, who is owned by a Las Vegas showgirl. Rover gets dumped off Hoover Dam by the showgirl's boyfriend. However, rather than drowning, Rover ends up on a farm.
Synopsis
Rover lives a life of fun in Las Vegas, gambling and chasing girls with his best friend Eddie. One night, he sees his owner Connie's boyfriend, Rocky, in a transaction with a pair of gangsters, and accidentally disrupts it. Thinking that Rocky is an undercover cop setting them up, the gangsters flee, telling Rocky that he has blown his last chance. The next day, Connie goes on the road for two weeks, leaving Rocky to look after Rover. In revenge for ruining his deal, Rocky puts Rover in a bag, drives him to Hoover Dam, and throws him in the water. The bag is later pulled out of the water by two passing fishermen, who take Rover back to shore and place him in the back of their pickup truck. However, Rover wakes up and jumps out of the truck when the fishermen stop for gas, and begins to wander down the road on his way back to Vegas. Instead, he ends up in the countryside, and eventually runs into a farmer, Cal, and his son, Danny, who convinces his father to take the dog in. Cal agrees on one condition: at the first sign of trouble, he'll be sent to an animal shelter, and if nobody claims him, the animal shelter can put him to sleep.Actors

Séquence 1 : Contes de la forêt viennoise Porky chasse Bugs avec son chien. Bugs fait lire au chien de Porky un livre sur les bonnes manières lorsque ce dernier trouve Bugs et le pointe (comme s'il l'avait pointé des doigts) et le ferme avec son nez dedans ! Lorsque Bugs réussit à s'emparer du fusil de Porky mais qu'il le lance dans le trou d'arbre d'un écureuil, ce dernier essaye de tirer sur les trois présumés coupables : Porky et son chien n'ont pas été touchés ; seul Bugs (apparemment) l'est. Quand Porky veut le soigner, Bugs révèle un sous-vêtement et gifle Porky et son chien et emmêle les nœuds du chapeau de Porky avec les oreilles de son animal.

On the planet Dorkon, Professor Wally (the professor counterpart to Wally) shows Emperor Jon (the Emperor counterpart to Jon Arbuckle) his new invention, The Moscram ray gun, a device powered by the Klopman crystal that can scramble inanimate objects and organisms into new creatures under the user's control. But Emperor Jon is more concerned about finding a wife to continue the royal bloodline. Soon a warship lands near the palace. Emperor Jon sees Vetvix (the super-villain counterpart to Dr. Liz Wilson), and asks her if he can marry her. She agrees, but before Emperor Jon can kiss Vetvix, she plans to steal the Moscram Ray Gun, and is successful. Le rideau s'ouvre sur une scène de théâtre où une reproduction du tableau du Yankee Doodle The Spirit of 76', peint par Archibald Willard, occupe le fond. Surgit Bugs Bunny jouant du pipeau avec une carotte, scène quasi identique à celle terminant le cartoon A Wild Hare (1940). Bugs croque la carotte et commence son discours patriotique en citant les figures emblématiques des États-Unis et tout d'abord de l'Oncle Sam, avec une certaine familiarité. Il revient en portant le chapeau aux couleurs du drapeau américain et la barbe blanche symboliques de l'Oncle Sam. Bugs lance des « war bonds » à pleines poignées, comme des tracts, et chante une chanson dont les paroles incitent l'assistance à acheter ces bons, qui « garantiront la liberté ». Il continue en dansant puis entame une parodie d'Al Jolson, artiste de music hall très populaire en Amérique et très lié au monde du jazz (il se maquille souvent en noir dans ses spectacles). Bugs prend les traits de Al Jolson et reprend brièvement son titre « Mammy », transformé pour l'occasion en « Sammy » (l'Oncle Sam). Porky Pig (en marin) et Elmer Fudd (en fantassin) rejoignent Bugs, chantent et dansent avec lui devant le public. L'image de la publicité pour ces bons vient clore le film.

Le cartoon commence avec Elmer en train de contrôler les éclairs. Elmer brise le quatrième mur en chantant sa phrase fétiche « Ne faites pas de bruit, je chasse le lapin. » Elmer suit les traces de Bugs et dans le trou de ce dernier, il envoie de vifs coups de lance alors que Bugs est dans un autre trou. Ce dernier lui chante « Ô puissant guerrier au javelot vengeur ? Pourrais-je te demander un Quoi d'neuf docteur ? » Elmer lui répond « Je dois tuer le lapin ». Bugs lui demande : « Ô puissant chasseur, ce n'est pas aisé, c'est un dur labeur alors comment procéder ? » Elmer répond : « J'utiliserai ma lance et le casque magique ! » Bugs rétorque « La lance et le casque magique ? » Elmer dit : « Oui, casque magique ! » Bugs dit alors : « Casque magique... » et Elmer lui rétorque : « Oui, et son pouvoir est unique ! »
