Saboot is a 1980 Bollywood Horror Film directed by Shyam Ramsay & Tulsi Ramsay.It featured Navin Nischol, Vidya Sinha, Kajal Kiran & Vinod Mehra in prominent roles. In this movie, two sisters lose their father and one of their husbands, then become the focus of an investigation as the men who killed the father and husband begin to die mysteriously.

Synopsis

Seth Dharamdas has two daughters: the older one is Asha(Vidya Sinha) and the younger one is Kaajal(Kaajal Kiran). Dharamdas had struck a business deal with Dhanraj. Here, Asha marries her love interest Akash(Vinod Mehra), but he dies in an air crash. Asha grieves his loss, following which Dharamdas cancels his plan to sell the factory and decides to dedicate the factory as a souvenir to Akash.

Rajiv (Rishi Kapoor) comes from a wealthy land-owning family, and lives in a palatial home with his mother, who would like him to get married to a beautiful young woman named Vijaya Singh, the only daughter of Thakur Ajay Singh (Prem Chopra). Rajiv, however, is in love with Rajni (Sridevi), who is an orphan without connections. When Rajiv informs his mother of his intent to marry Rajni, she refuses to give her blessings, but relents after a favourable meeting with Rajni. The marriage is arranged and they enjoy their marriage - until the arrival of Bhairo Nath (Amrish Puri), a sadhu capable of controlling snakes. He informs Rajiv's mum that Rajni is a shape-shifting venomous snake who has married Rajiv to avenge the death of her spouse during Rajiv's childhood. To remove her from the household, Bhairo and his disciples do a snake dance song, forcing Rajni to dance for them as she is a naga. However, when Rajiv comes into the house, Rajni escapes, only to be caught by Bhairo again, who reveals his plot, to control the world with the Mani, a sacred jewel that only Rajni knows is hidden. However, Rajiv comes and engages in a fight with the sadhu. The sadhu dies, and Rajiv and Rajni live happily ever after.

Jesu and Peter are childhood friends who live in a coastal village in India and depend on fishing as their livelihood. The community is oppressed by a powerful gangster named Alphonso. The story is set around 1580, in the time of King Akbar. Biramdev (Dr Shreeram Lagoo) is the king of Medta, a province in Rajasthan. He has two daughters, Meera (Hema Malini) and Krishna (Vidya Sinha) and a son, Jaimal (Dinesh Thakur). Meera is in deep emotional love with Lord Krishna, so much so that she considers Lord Krishna to be her husband. Akbar (Amjad Khan) is becoming stronger day by day and hence other small provinces are trying to join against him. Medta, in one such political agreement, decides to join hands with Raja Vikramajit (Shammi Kapoor). As a part of this agreement Meera is married (against her wish) to Vikramajit's son, Rana Bhojraj (Vinod Khanna). But even after getting married her love for Lord Krishna remains the same and she follows her own ideals and way of living which are not very acceptable to Bhojraj and his family. One thing leads to another and one day Meera is declared as an outcast and traitor who failed to play a wife's duties towards her husband, a bride's duties towards her family, and a woman's duties towards society. She is jailed and a public trial is ordered to decide her fate. But Meera is still unshakable and her spirituality keeps her going. She is not even afraid of death. Finally she is given a death sentence and is ordered to drink a cup of venom in front of the public.
