Synopsis
Emilie vit séparée de son mari depuis deux ans. Elle rencontre quelques difficultés avec sa fille, Lori, une adolescente qui revendique plus de liberté. Malgré l'interdiction d'Emilie, Lori se rend à une soirée chez son amie, Brynn. Au cours de la fête, elle se dispute avec son petit ami, Curt, et disparaît. Bien que la police soit convaincue qu'elle a fugué, sa mère pense qu'elle a été enlevée et décide de partir à sa recherche...Actors

For several generations the Parks family lived on a quiet hillside where Katelyn's grandfather and her father (Mike Daly) were keepers to the town's lighthouse. At the age of ten, Katelyn watched her mom enter the basement in their lighthouse home where minutes later she was brutally beaten and found dying on the floor. Her father, Christopher (Mike Daly), was arrested and convicted for the killing, and Katelyn placed in foster care out of town. The murder drove Christopher into madness and he was sentenced to a mental institution, where he later died. Katelyn never had a chance to speak to her father since that horrible night.

Carol Mills (Peggy Lipton) is a mother who has a troubling relationship with her 19-year-old daughter Annie (Danica McKellar). Eleven girls have disappeared from an Eau Claire, Wisconsin Catholic school in the last five years. When one of them, an orphaned outsider named Gwendolyn (Telek), is found dead, hanged at the church bells, Seattleite deputy sheriff Jack Gates (Keith) is assigned to the task to the mystery. When he arrives, he is upset to find out that the unexperienced Doc (Mulligan) has already claimed to have examined the body and that the body has already been removed. Mother Bernadette has her own - locked from the outside - sanctuary and the students are taught that she is always with them.
