Shikshanacha Aaicha Gho is a 2010 Indian Marathi film directed by Mahesh Manjrekar starring Sachin Khedekar, Bharat Jadhav, Saksham Kulkarni, Gauri Vaidya, Siddharth Jadhav and Kranti Redkar. The film was released on 15 January 2010. Films music composed by trio Ajit-Atul-Sameer. After Astitva with 9 years long gap Mahesh Manjrekar directed Marathi film.This film was later remade in Tamil & Telugu as Dhoni and in Bengali as "Chalo Paltai" starring Prosenjit Chatterjee.

Synopsis

Shrinivas Rane, is an average student, born with average academic intelligence, but when it comes to cricket he is a born genius. His extraordinary talent was lost on his father who like millions of other parents believed that a child's intellect is only reflected in their mark sheet, which eventually will give them a “secure future”. So he begins his quest to make his son the brightest and best student in the world. But Shree can’t handle this pressure and it reflects on his psyche deteriorating the relation between father and son, upon which the father in a fit of anger does something which makes him repent later.

Hari Damle (Sachin Khedekar), head of a Chitpavan Bramhin family, lives in the village Torgaon in Konkan with his wife Tara (Medha Manjrekar), their three children, his younger brother Mahadev (Abhijit Kelkar), and his widowed aunt, Namu Aatya (Savita Malpekar). Hari arranges the marriage of Mahadev with a pre-pubescent girl, Durga (Ketaki Mategaonkar), renamed as Uma after marriage. However, Mahadev dies before the consummation of the marriage. The plot of the movie is based on the original script of Jayant Pawar, which highlights the consequences of the atrocities towards the mill workers, totally ignored by the Government. The film is a story of a family of mill workers in Mumbai. It traces the birth of the politics of greed in Mumbai and exposes the collusion between the triumvirate of big business, the political establishment and the trade union leaders who ostensibly were charged with protecting the rights of the mill workers. In the two decades that followed, the entire landscape of Central Bombay was changed forever. Land became the currency of growth, and this began the systematic extinction of mills in Bombay. In a matter of just a few years, hundreds of thousands of workers lost their means of livelihood. Having worked in these mills from generation to generation, this was the only vocation that they knew.

Andrea (Virginia Madsen) is a teenage girl that has won a scholarship to Ettinger, a formerly all-male boarding school. Philo gives her a tape to play over the loudspeaker system that he claims will stop the faculty and students from capturing her and turning her into a zombie, only for her to lose it while she is chased by the school's students. With nothing to lose, Barry plays a tape of rock music in its place, which accomplishes the desired task of stopping the students and saving their lives.
