Alvaro Vitali ([alˈvaːro viˈtaːli]; born 3 February 1950) is an Italian actor.
He was an electrician until he was discovered by Federico Fellini and played a small part in Satyricon (1969), it led to other roles, notably in the movie Amarcord (1973).
In the 1970s Vitali became one of most charismatic actors in the commedia erotica all'italiana (erotic comedy) genre. He was very popular in Spain as well. He recently worked for the satirical TV show Striscia la notizia in a parody of Ferrari manager Jean Todt.

Électricien de formation, Alvaro Vitali est repéré par hasard en 1969 par le cinéaste Federico Fellini qui le fait tourner dans plusieurs de ses films, dont Satyricon 1969, Les Clowns (1970), Fellini Roma (1972) et Amarcord (1973).Il est surtout connu pour ses rôles d'abruti absolu dans un genre de cinéma italien qui eut un grand succès autour des années 1970, la comédie érotique à l'italienne (commedia erotica all'italiana), un genre cinématographique mélangeant comique burlesque et érotisme, dont le décor se trouve souvent dans une école, un hôpital, ou une caserne militaire. In a cemetery in Rome, at night, the soldier Camillo arrives among the graves. The rude and crude keeper Domenico welcomes him and makes him sit in a chapel. Colonel Anacleto Punzone (Banfi) is a military doctor with expertise in organ transplantation. He has a small penis, leading to a frustrated sex life with his wife Giovanna (Malisa Longo). Massimo Castaldi (Montagnani) is a social climber married to Violante (Marisa Mell), who comes from a rich family. His relationship with his mistress Laura (Cinzia De Ponti) is jeopardised when the family moves to its summer house on the Apulian coast of the Adriatic. Pour la tenir à l'écart des distractions juvéniles de la ville, la belle Angela Mancinelli est envoyée par son père dans une petite ville des Pouilles chez son oncle, directeur de lycée et victime du goliardia de ses élèves. Bientôt, la fille conquiert le cœur de la gérante, de ses compagnes et de sa cousine, qui joue secrètement dans un complexe et est aimée par la plantureuse Irma. Angela vise haut, entrant dans les grâces d'un jeune professeur grincheux. Étant donné le bénéfice limité, les garçons aimeraient profiter des situations à leur avantage, de l'intrusion d'Irma dans la maison du directeur - la scène de la chambre avec l'aide du merle bavard est mémorable - pour faire chanter le professeur via Angela, mais les plans échouent lamentablement avec le rejet général. La protagoniste, qui aurait le même sort, adoucit le maigre avec l'annonce de sa prochaine maternité.
