Synopsis
During the fifth century the Roman Empire has been split in two and come under attack of the Huns under Attila. Roman centurion Marcian is captured by Hun soldiers and interrogated by Attila, who wishes to learn the ways of the Romans. Marcian manages to escape on a horse by charming Attila's daughter Kubra. He goes to Constantinople to warn the Eastern Empire about the Huns. However Emperor Theodosius is intent on doing deals with the barbarians.Actors

Brian Hawke, an officer aboard the British merchant ship The Monsoon, volunteers for a dangerous mission to infiltrate the pirate's base at Diego-Suarez on the coast of Madagascar. He is to pose as a deserter, and to make his disguise more convincing, he is given twenty lashes. Once he has arrived at Diego-Suarez he is greeted with an air of suspicion by the pirates, especially Captain Roc Brasiliano. Brasiliano orders him to appear before a tribunal of the Coast Captains to decide his fate. If they do not like him, he will be executed. Meanwhile, Hawke has caught the eye of Spitfire Stevens - the only woman amongst the Coast Captains - who inherited her position from her father.

Henrik, médecin français installé dans une région reculée du Maroc, a pour ami le caïd local, Si Lahssen. Ce dernier le présente aux habitants d'un village où règnent encore de vieilles superstitions, entretenues par la « sorcière » Fatima. Un des villageois, Moha, demande au médecin de soigner sa fille, Saadia, victime d'un mal indéfinissable. Une fois la jeune femme guérie, Henrik, qui est tombé amoureux d'elle, l'engage à ses côtés, afin qu'elle l'aide au dispensaire où il travaille. Mais une bande de pillards attaque le village. Saadia, animé par l'esprit de sacrifice, parvient à tuer leur chef, avant que des troupes françaises arrivent pour rétablir l'ordre. Si Lahssen, blessé est opéré par Henrik qui découvre que le caïd est lui aussi épris de Saadia, qui l'aime en retour. Henrik décide alors de renoncer à la belle Marocaine.

Freighter owner and captain Mike Dillon (Dana Andrews) reluctantly smuggles Jewish immigrants into Palestine, making it very clear to the Jewish leader, David Vogel (Stephen McNally), he is only doing it for the money.
