It was released at the cinema in the United Kingdom in 1984, showing before the film Nineteen Eighty-Four. It is one of a number of animated shorts that feature on the British Animation Collection Volume 1 DVD.
Synopsis
Sur une étrange planète, sorte d'île flottant dans les airs, une peuplade parlant un étrange language (les Perleians) se nourrit en chassant des créatures ailées, s'apparentant à des raies manta volantes. A la fin de leur vie, les chasseurs sont soudain pris d'un mal étrange. Ils s'isolent alors dans une caverne au centre de l'île pour se jeter dans un trou qui traverse la planète de part en part. Tout au long de sa chute, le chasseur se transforme petit à petit en un cocon. Une fois sorti à l'autre bout de la planète, il en sort une nouvelle raie manta qui s'en va rejoindre ses congénères, bouclant ainsi l'étrange cycle de vie de la planète.Actors

The film opens with a battle taking place at night on a desolate seaside beach between Sand Ninja and mysterious warriors wearing bulky suits of armor. Despite their best efforts, the Sand Ninja are slowly overwhelmed by the sheer strength of their mysterious opponents. The timely arrival of reinforcements led by Kankuro and Gaara turns the tide, with Kankuro slicing apart a suit of armor with his puppet, and Gaara dispatching a large number of enemies en masse with his signature Desert Imperial Funeral. However, when Gaara orders the Sand Ninja to shine a flare at the retreating enemies, a large warship appears.

The story is set in 1959 and is told with only a few brief snatches of dialogue, much of it in Gaelic. A down-on-his-luck illusionist (known by his stage name, "Tatischeff") watches his popularity and employment in Paris dry up. He packs his meager belongings and props, including an ill-tempered white rabbit, and moves to London. There he finds himself as the irrelevant act following a popular rock band. After a global-scale nuclear war, the majority of earth's surface has become a wasteland, with most of the world's survivors fighting over the few uncontaminated food and water supplies. Karel Horák (Jan Hartl) and Božena Horáková (Veronika Žilková) are a childless couple and for medical reasons are doomed to remain so. While on vacation with their neighbors at a house in the country, Karel decides to buy the house at the suggestion of his neighbor. When he is fixing up the house, he digs up a tree stump that looks vaguely like a baby. He spends the rest of the evening cleaning it up and then presents it to his wife. She names the stump Otík and starts to treat it like a real baby. She then works out a plan to fake her pregnancy and becoming more and more impatient she speeds up the process and 'gives birth' one month early.
