Synopsis
Elvire Morenkova a tout ce dont on peut rêver. Elle est belle, riche, et c'est une star de cinéma. Pourtant, l'actrice adulée par son public met fin à ses jours en plein tournage. Le commissaire Laurence entreprend alors d'étudier sa vie d'un peu plus près et d'y chercher les failles qui pourraient expliquer son geste. Elvire était immensément riche et collectionnait les amants. Elle était détestée par les autres femmes. Au fil de l'enquête, la commissaire comprend que les mobiles pour le meurtre de la belle Elvire ne manquaient pas. Pendant ce temps, le tournage continue, et Avril, qui n'a peur de rien, passe le casting pour remplacer la star, défunte…Actors

Miss Marple est en vacances à la Barbade, dans une pension tenue depuis peu par Molly et Tim Kendal. As the film opens, a child pornography shoot is disrupted when its young star Michelle refuses to perform, throwing a tantrum over a promised visit to the zoo. The man who recruited her, pedophile Howard "Howie" Nichols (Masur), attempts to reason with director Dennis, claiming he "just needs a few days" (in order for Michelle to have an abortion, as Howard had gotten her pregnant). Situated in the early 1980s, the plot focuses on Cindy Fralick, a parking enforcement officer who is uninspired by her job.
