Synopsis
Les services secrets russes et américains décident d'échanger deux de leurs agents à l'aéroport de Fiumicino. Déterminés à saboter l'opération, des agents troubles kidnappent la fille d'un tireur d'élite. FBI Special Agent Sean Archer (Travolta) has a personal vendetta against civil freelance terrorist Castor Troy (Cage) who six years earlier killed Archer's son Michael while trying to assassinate Archer. A British agent carrying a vital document is murdered on his way to deliver it in the USA. Holmes deduces he was carrying the document in the form of microfilm and goes to Washington with Watson to find the killer and retrieve the document before it falls into the hands of an "international spy ring". Before his death, the agent managed to pass the microfilm into the unwitting hands of a Washington debutante and bride-to-be. There are some amusing moments when the microfilm, which has been inserted into a "V for Victory" matchbook, gets passed from hand to hand at a party unknowingly, and at one point is discarded by the chief criminal. Holmes and Watson track down the criminals, rescue the bride-to-be and regain the microfilm.

Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone) pretends to be a Nazi spy to aid scientist Dr. Franz Tobel (William Post Jr.) and his new invention, a bombsight, in escaping a Gestapo trap in Switzerland. Holmes and Franz fly to London, where Holmes places him under the protection of his friend, Dr. Watson (Nigel Bruce). L'invention que tout le monde recherche est définitivement du type science-fiction. C'est une pince à cravate spéciale qui, lorsqu'elle est utilisée avec une paire de lentilles de contact infrarouges, permet à l'utilisateur de voir à travers les murs ! Le type qui les a volés au professeur en fait bon usage en les portant en jouant au poker et en nettoyant ! Il devrait penser plus grand. La première chose que fait Roger lorsqu'il découvre cette petite nouveauté est de s'en servir pour espionner sa copine en train de s'habiller ! C'est plus comme ça. Ce film fait vraiment le tour. Nous voyageons de la Riviera à Genève à Paris à Casablanca (la Casbah pas moins), et à Copenhague. Nous avons même droit à une visite de la brasserie Tuborg. Il y a une fusillade prolongée entre les réservoirs de bière géants.

Warsaw's liberation allies is actually a terrorist organization under the banner of a revolution and in order to show their strength, they prepare to create a bombing incident when the US business delegates visit Hong Kong to achieve their political objectives. The CIA finds clues and sends Detective Gary Redner (Peter Lapis) to Hong Kong to prevent this conspiracy. Due to the matter of politics, Hong Kong's political department also sends Inspector Lee Ting-bong (Danny Lee) to assist Redner in the operation. The two cops from different environment were incompatible working together at first, but they gradually produced a profound friendship and they work together to shatter the terrorists' attempt to create an explosion and wounded Hannibal (Vernon G. Wells), the leader of the organization. However, thing are not over yet, as Hannibal breaks into the television news department and takes all the staff hostage including Lee's girlfriend Ann (Rosamund Kwan) and prepares to create a bloodshed to be broadcast throughout the world. At this time, Lee and Redner arrives, only to find that Lee's assistant Tang (Tommy Wong) has been bribed by the terrorists and holds them at gunpoint.
