In 2007, Suspension won the 'Spirit of the Independents' Award at the Ft Lauderdale Film Festival. It received a special opening night preview screening at the Sedona International Film Festival, and competed at the Sci Fi London Festival, the Cinequest Film Festival, and the Brussels International Festival of Fantastic Film. It was released on DVD and streaming in North America and Australia.
Synopsis
From AllMovie - After a well-adjusted husband and father experiences the most devastating crisis of his life, events take a most unexpected and incredible turn in Suspension, Ethan Shaftel and Alec Joler's offbeat science fiction fantasy. Scott Cordes stars as Daniel, a family man whose life is seemingly destroyed when his wife and son are killed in an automobile accident, leaving him completely alone. During his intense period of physical and emotional recovery, Daniel uses down time to repair his son's video camera, which was damaged in the crash and somehow "absorbed" the otherworldly power to stop time in its tracks. This amazing discovery re-instills a sense of self-importance and meaning in Daniel, and he quickly turns to another surviving victim of the same tragedy: Sarah, the widowed wife of the other driver from the same accident. Daniel wants nothing more than to help her and begins taking a series of steps in this direction. Unfortunately, Daniel's innate altruism soon outstrips his control and grows decidedly impure, as his magnanimity turns into a compulsion.Comments

In the timeframe of 10,000 BC, a tribe of hunter-gatherers called the Yagahl live in a remote mountain range in the Urals and survive by killing woolly mammoths, which they call "mannaks". The camp is led by a hunter who has proven his bravery by killing a Mammoth, and taking the White Spear. The people also strongly venerate an elderly woman, called Old Mother. Because of her different appearance to other humans in the village, it is assumed she is a Neanderthal, the "last of her kind", living with the Homo sapiens of the camp.

Une créature géante se manifeste dans la baie de Tokyo, avant de faire surface et de terroriser la ville. Will Stanton (Alexander Ludwig) is a day away from his fourteenth birthday. As the Stanton children walk home, Miss Greythorne (Frances Conroy), the local mistress of the Manor, and her Butler Merriman Lyon (Ian McShane) invite the siblings to a Christmas party. Later, two farmers, Dawson (James Cosmo) and Old George (Jim Piddock), whom Will does not know, arrive at his house with a large Christmas tree ordered by the family. The farmers know Will’s name, wish him a happy birthday, and predict bad weather despite the clear sky. The movie opens with the invisible Nick Halloway (Chevy Chase) dictating his memoirs into a video camera. To prove it is not a camera trick, he chews some bubble gum. Nick goes on to narrate the story of how he came to be invisible, beginning a few days earlier at his job as a stock analyst. His secretary, Cathy DiTolla (Rosalind Chao), refers to him as a "bullshit artist", and he spends most of his life avoiding responsibility and connections with other people. At his favorite bar, the Academy Club, his friend George Talbot (Michael McKean) invites him to join his table where Nick meets Alice Monroe (Daryl Hannah), a TV documentary producer. Sharing an instant attraction, Nick and Alice make out in the ladies' room. When Alice has to leave, Nick drinks heavily to console himself, although the pair set a lunch date for Friday.

In Villach in the 13th century, three women are accused of witchcraft by a priest. While one claims to be a witch through persuasion from the church, one doesn't deny it and curses the priest. He orders them hanged and drowned. That done, he urges the guards to pull them back up for a ritual to make sure the so-called witches never come back to life. The film begins during the German air raids in London in 1940. An elderly Dr. John Watson tells his nurse the tale of an unrecorded case he shared with his friend Sherlock Holmes. In 1882, Holmes and Watson investigate a ship carrying gold which was reportedly destroyed by a monstrous giant octopus on the coast of Newhaven. They do not believe the first-hand accounts of the sole survivor of the attack, but nonetheless investigate. Holmes is informed by Inspector Lestrade that he has recently had contact with Holmes's estranged brother Thorpe, a former partner of Lestrade's who was paralyzed during a bank robbery seven years prior.
