Taken 2 is a 2012 English-language French action thriller film directed by Olivier Megaton which stars Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen, Rade Šerbedžija, Leland Orser, Jon Gries, D.B. Sweeney and Luke Grimes.
It is the sequel to the 2008 film Taken and the second installment in the Taken trilogy. Released on 5 October 2012, the film grossed over $376 million at the box office.
A third film, Taken 3, was released on 9 January 2015.
Synopsis
At the funeral of his son Marko and associates in Tropojë, Albanian mafia head Murad Hoxha vows to seek vengeance on his son's killer. Traveling to Paris with his men, he interrogates and tortures former intelligence agent Jean-Claude Pitrel, whose business card was found at the scene of Marko's death, but finds no information. He then bribes a corrupt police official for Pitrel's files and deduces that his old friend Bryan Mills was responsible and is in Istanbul.Actors

Former covert operative Bryan Mills visits his daughter, Kim, who has just discovered she's pregnant, at her L.A. apartment to deliver an early birthday gift. After an awkward visit, he invites his ex-wife, Lenore, to dinner. Although she refused the invitation, she shows up at his apartment revealing her distress over marital problems with her current husband, Stuart, and indicates her desire to be with Bryan, who feels the same way, but says they need to refrain until her marriage is resolved. Later, Stuart visits Bryan and asks him to stay away from Lenore as they attempt to reconcile. Bryan reluctantly agrees.

A ship arrives, carrying toxic chemicals that have killed two of its crew members. Frank Martin and Inspector Tarconi fish in the Marseilles when Tarconi receives a call about a black Audi A8 that speeds past French customs and evades the police in a car chase. While Tarconi returns to headquarters to give Frank's alibi, in Odessa, Ukraine, the Environmental Agency Minister (Leonid Tomilenko) receives a threat from Ecocorp boss Johnson to reopen business negotiations. At night, the Audi crashes into Frank's home, with a wounded transporter, Malcolm Melville, whom Frank had referred when he declined a previous job. As paramedics take away Malcolm, Frank discovers in the backseat a woman who warns him not to take her from the car; she shows him a metal bracelet she and Malcolm have been wearing. Frank rushes outside, but the ambulance explodes. He is knocked out by a henchman.

Retired CIA field operative Bryan Mills attempts to build a closer relationship with his daughter, Kim, who lives with her mother, Lenore, and her wealthy stepfather, Stuart. Retired thief, Roy Egan (Harvey Keitel), comes out of retirement to help his youngest brother, Lee (Timothy Hutton), with a jewelry heist in Palm Springs. Comprenant progressivement ce que l'on attend de lui, et voulant faire marche arrière, il reçoit l’appel d’un mystérieux inconnu qui le force à identifier un passager caché dans le train. Michael est sommé de le faire avant le dernier arrêt. Pris dans un terrible engrenage, il va alors tout faire pour résoudre à temps cette énigme, tout en essayant de protéger les autres passagers.
