The film was screened in the main competition at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, where it was poorly received by critics.
Synopsis
Il y a longtemps, un jeune homme a engendré un enfant sans jamais savoir ce qu'il est devenu. A 17 ans, son fils, Rudi, revient en espérant retrouver sa famille après une enfance passée dans une institution. Il espère trouver chez sa mère reconnaissance et affection, et surtout connaître l'identité de son père, mais il constate qu'il n'est pas le bienvenu. Presque par hasard, Rudi se retrouve dans un casting. Le réalisateur du film est fasciné par son innoncence et pense avoir trouvé son acteur principal. Mais un évènement terrible met bientôt fin aux bonnes intentions de Rudi. Il devient un tueur poursuivi, et le réalisateur se rend compte que ce garçon étrange et silencieux est son fils, un monstre qu'il a lui-même crée. Son seul choix est maintenant d'accompagner le destin brutal de son fils dans une recherche commune de la rédemption.Actors

Dans le delta du Danube en Roumanie, un homme taciturne revient dans son village natal après une longue absence. Il retrouve sa mère qui lui présente sa jeune sœur dont il ne connaissait pas l'existence. L'homme part sur le fleuve dans la cabane abandonnée de son père afin d'y construire sa maison sur l'eau, loin de toute civilisation, avec l'argent qu'il a gagné en Europe occidentale. Sa sœur harcelée par le compagnon de sa mère, décide de quitter sa maison et de rejoindre son mystérieux frère. Ensemble, ils construisent planche par planche une maison sur pilotis et se découvrent malgré le peu de discussions qu'ils échangent. Leur attirance réciproque impulsive les rapproche immanquablement, ce qui suscite ragots et haines de la part des habitants du village.

At a loading dock in Cleveland, Ohio in 1937, supervisor Mr. Gant welcomes a new worker, Lincoln Dombrowsky (Frank McRae). Gant tells him the job requirements and pay rules. He'll be paid for working 8 hours and if he has to work overtime, he still gets paid only for 8 hours. If he drops any of the merchandise, the cost comes directly out of his pay. These are examples of unfair working practices faced by the laborers. Later Dombrowsky drops a few carts of tomatoes, which is taken out of his pay; another worker is fired for helping him collect the fallen merchandise. Johnny Kovak (Sylvester Stallone), another worker resentful of mistreatment, leads a riot. Afterward, the workers go to the office of Boss Andrews. Kovak believes he negotiates a deal for the workers, but the next day he and his friend Abe Belkin (David Huffman) are told they are fired.
