Sorti en octobre 2019 aux États-Unis, le film reçoit de mauvaises critiques mais cumule 180 millions de dollars de recettes contre un budget de $24 millions. Le single Haunted Heart de Christina Aguilera, qui fait office de bande originale, est un succès.
Synopsis
La famille Addams, qui vivait jusque-là retranchée dans leur demeure, juchée en haut d’une colline brumeuse du New Jersey, se prépare à recevoir des membres éloignés encore plus étranges qu’eux à l’occasion de la Mazurka de Pugsley. Une cérémonie aux allures de rite de passage qui doit se dérouler devant la famille au complet et où le jeune garçon doit prouver qu’il est prêt à devenir un véritable mâle Addams. Mais ils ne savent pas que leur voisine du bas de la colline — la décoratrice d’intérieur et animatrice de télévision aux dents longues Margaux Needler — est en train de mettre sur pied un quartier préfabriqué, tout en couleurs pop et en perfection. Quand le brouillard se lève, révélant la demeure des Addams, la sombre bâtisse semble se dresser entre la jeune ambitieuse et son rêve de vendre toutes les maisons du quartier pour devenir la personnalité la plus plébiscitée que la télévision ait jamais créée.Actors

14-year-old Duncan reluctantly goes on summer vacation to a beach house in a small seaside town near Cape Cod with his mother, Pam; her boyfriend Trent, and Trent's daughter, Steph. Sixteen-year-old Minnesota high-schooler Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page) discovers she is pregnant with a child fathered by her friend and longtime admirer, Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera). She initially considers an abortion. Going to a local clinic run by a women's group, she encounters outside a schoolmate who is holding a rather pathetic one-person pro-life vigil. Once inside, however, Juno is alienated by the clinic staff's authoritarian and bureaucratic attitudes. She is particularly offended by their calling her "sexually active", a term which she feels demeans the highly emotional event by which she became pregnant. All of this decides her against abortion, and she decides to give the baby up for adoption. With the help of her friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby), Juno searches the ads in the Pennysaver and finds a couple she feels will provide a suitable home. She tells her parents, Mac (J.K. Simmons) and stepmother, Bren (Allison Janney), who offer their support. With Mac, Juno meets the couple, Mark and Vanessa Loring (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner), in their expensive home and agrees to a closed adoption.

Homer Wells, an orphan, grows up in a Maine orphanage directed by kindly, avuncular Dr. Wilbur Larch. Abandoned by their father deep in a forest, young Hansel and Gretel enter a gingerbread house and are captured by a cannibalistic witch. The witch forces Hansel to continuously eat candy to fatten him up, and enslaves Gretel, ordering her to prepare the oven, but the siblings outsmart her and incinerate her in the fire of the oven. On a snowy December night, a state execution transfer vehicle crosses into the quiet backwater town of Snowmonton. Inside is serial killer Jack Frost (Scott MacDonald), who eluded police for years and left a trail of thirty-eight bodies across five states before finally being arrested, by the sheriff of Snowmonton. Frost is scheduled to be executed at midnight but due to the weather, a tanker containing genetic material collides with the prison truck, freeing Jack. As he tries to escape, the acid contained within the tanker breaks free, melting Jack's skin and skeleton. Shortly after his death, Jack's remains are fused with the snow.

An elderly man at The Shady Rest Retirement Home in East Texas is known to the staff as Sebastian Haff, but claims to be Elvis. He explains that during the 1970s, Elvis Presley (Bruce Campbell) grew tired of the demands of his fame and switched places with an Elvis impersonator named Sebastian Haff (also Campbell). He claims it was Haff who eventually died in 1977, while he, the real Elvis, lived in quiet, happy anonymity and made a living pretending to be himself. After a propane explosion destroyed documentation which was the only proof that he was actually Elvis, he was unable to return to his old lifestyle.

Gomez Addams laments the 25-year absence of his brother Fester, who disappeared after the two had a falling-out. Gomez's lawyer Tully Alford owes money to loan shark Abigail Craven, and notices that her son Gordon closely resembles Fester. Tully proposes that Gordon pose as Fester to infiltrate the Addams household and find the hidden vault where they keep their vast riches. A criminologist narrates the tale of the newly engaged couple Brad Majors and Janet Weiss who find themselves lost and with a flat tire on a cold and rainy late November evening.
