As described in a film magazine, Valentine (Calvert), engaged to Geoffrey (Powell), breaks her engagement so that she can marry Lord Moreland (Carrington) so that she may have everything that she desires. Discouraged, Geoffrey associates with Miriam Gibson (Murdock), a woman of the streets known as the outcast. Miriam becomes devoted to Geoffrey and does all that that is in her power to make him happy. Valentine is jealous because Geoffrey is so happy and believes that by coming into his life she will make it hard for him. Geoffrey, who still loves her, asks her to go away with him to South America, divorce Lord Moreland, and marry him. But Valentine refuses to give up London. Ferdinand GottschalkAs described in a film magazine, Professor Delmar (Druce) is sent to China to study child-life and decides to leave his daughter Emily (Murdock), who is always getting into trouble, with his good friends the Lethbridges. One night Emily runs away from a musicale and attends a cabaret. Not knowing how to explain matters and feeling sure that Trotters (McDougall), a friend, can help her out, she goes to his apartment. Waiting for him to return from the club, she takes a nap. Mrs. Lethbridge (Veness), not wishing her husband to know of Emily's escapade, tells him that Emily is staying with her aunt, who has the mumps. Trotter is told of the story and, wishing to make it good, plans to take Emily to her aunt's house. They stop at a hotel for lunch. Emily has her dog hidden and tells Trotter that it is lost and that she will not leave the hotel until it is found. Julia (Carlyle), the fiancee of Trotter, decides to visit the sick aunt. She is accompanied by Herbert Threadgold (Gottschalk) a nervous little body who is in love with Emily. Their automobile breaks down and they are forced to stay at the same hotel that Emily and Trotter are staying. Aunt Geraldine follows and they are all arrested for kidnapping Emily, but through the efforts of Lethbridge (Brown) they are all released. Julia marries Threadgold and, to avoid a scandal, Emily marries Trotter, not that either objects. , 50minutes

Russell BassettThe story evolves from a spat which Milholland has with his fiancée, Alice Gardner. While imbibing too freely in a foolish effort to assuage the pangs besetting him, he decides to sail for Europe, but he lands at Coney Island via the sight-seeing-car route, and in the course of zig-zag events he meets the Princess, an Oriental dancer, in a music hall. He becomes infatuated with her, and for the first time in his young pampered life he earns ten dollars playing a piano while she does her act on the stage. Eventually he takes the Princess to the home of his wealthy aunt, Mrs. King. Their betrothal is announced at a dinner on which occasion the Princess worries Pete and the many guests by her frequent breaches of etiquette. The next day Pete meets his former fiancée and quickly tells her that his love for the Princess is only a passing fancy. When the latter learns of this she returns to her father's Coney Island resort. There she realizes the folly of essaying to hold the fealty of a man abover her caste, and she cheerfully sets about to be happy with her lot. Teddy SampsonAs described in a film publication, Valentine Moreland (MacLaren) has married her husband for money and jilted Geoffrey Sherwood (Powell). He feels her rejection keenly, and his friend Tony Hewlitt (David) finds Geoffrey alone in his apartment drinking. Miriam, abandoned by her husband and whose child had died from neglect, has been forced out on the street when her room's rent becomes overdue. Tony sprays some soda water out the window and hits Miriam. Miriam is invited in and Tony offers to compensate her for her hat. She tells Geoffrey her story, and he sees that he is no worse off than other people. Miriam works with Geoffrey in his South American business and he helps her get an apartment. She loves him and tries to win his affection, but he is held back by his memory of Valentine. Valentine has become weary of her elderly husband and seeks Geoffrey at his apartment. Miriam arrives and, seeing that Geoffrey is infatuated with Valentine, resolves to leave. Valentine glances out the window and, seeing her husband John (Wellesley) entering the house, panics. Miriam hides Geoffrey and Valentine in the next room, and, when John comes in, convinces him that she is Geoffrey's mistress and the only woman there. After John leaves, Valentine decides to rejoin her husband. Miriam leaves and, after sending a letter to Geoffrey indicating an intent to kill herself, leaves on a boat for South America. Geoffrey pursues her in a seaplane and rescues her when she jumps of the ship. They are married and honeymoon in Rio., 1h56
