The film had its world premiere on December 20, 2011 at the Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival and was released to DVD on November 20, 2012. It stars Sarah Lassez and Dustin Fasching as a young couple that must deal with supernatural along with their own personal demons.
Betz was inspired to make the film after he and his girlfriend had both been "creatively dead for quite some time" and he'd woken one night to hear her making strange noises while she slept. This prompted him to come up with the idea for The Dead Inside and he chose to make it a musical after watching Sarah Lassez perform at a karaoke bar.
Synopsis
Fi (Sarah Lassez) and Wes (Dustin Fasching) are deeply in love, but they find themselves forced to take unfulfilling jobs in order to make ends meet. Wes would rather take pictures of things that interest him, but has to work as a wedding photographer. Fi has been suffering from writers block and her steady job as the author of The Dead Survive, a series of zombie-themed books, isn't helping her creative juices flow. Their tenuous existence is further threatened when Fi begins to develop signs of schizophrenia that are revealed to be possibly demonic in nature.Actors

The film opens with a scroll saying that when Alfred Hitchcock's film The Birds (1963) was released, audiences laughed at the notion of birds revolting against humanity, but when an attack perpetrated by birds occurred in 1975, no one laughed. This is followed by a pre-credits sequence of a tomato rising out of a woman's garbage disposal unit. Her puzzlement turns into terror as the tomato draws her into a corner. Following the credits, the police investigate her death. One officer discovers that the red substance she is covered with is not blood, but tomato juice.

The opening of the film shows Dougie being chased though the woods by several fanged fangirls. He then enters a church where he holds the doors closed to prevent them from following him and shouts at the heavens. It then cuts to the band being interviewed three days earlier about their new album, with Harry acting strangely. When the interview is finished he is seen entering the dressing room of the interviewer. The band is then told by their manager that they are to finish recording their new album in a new location, away from all distractions. In the mansion that they are to record in, they see a news report about how the presenter who had interviewed them is missing and her dressing room has been found covered in blood. Their manager dismisses the bands concerns and Harry laughs saying how she was happy the last time he saw her. He then follows the cleaning lady out of the room and proceeds to make out with her and bite her neck, revealing that he is a vampire. The band are then shown performing "Party Girl".

The Stranger, a tall striking creature dressed in white sets into motions a series of events whilst reciting the Edgar Allan Poe's poem "Eldorado", which will have an effect on those heading towards the mythical city. The evening was going to be a normal Blues Brothers tribute gig for Oliver and Stanley Rosenblum, The Jews Brothers at a local Bar Mitzvah, but things were not going to go to plan for Stan and Ollie. After being wrongly sent to entertain the annual conference of Neo Nazi's instead of the stripper, which was sent to the Bar Mitzvah by their inept Manager JJ. The Jews Brothers are chased out of town by the head of the Californian Chapter of Neo Nazi's General Zwick, and after contacting their agent JJ who makes amends for the mix up by sending the boys and the stripper Lesley Dean to do a show at the Eldorado Festival.
