Dorothy Burgess (March 4, 1907 – August 20, 1961) was a stage and motion picture actress from Los Angeles.

Biography

Nièce de l'actrice Fay Bainter, Dorothy Burgess commence sa carrière au cinéma muet où elle tient des premiers rôles dans des films hollywoodiens à petits budgets. Elle est souvent employée pour incarner des femmes d'origine hispanique. Burgess fut impliquée dans un accident de voiture en 1932 à San Francisco, dans lequel elle conduisait et dont le passager mourut. À la suite de cet accident, elle souffrit de dépression. Par la suite, au cinéma parlant, elle ne tint que des seconds rôles.
