The Go-Getter is a 1923 American silent comedy film directed by Edward H. Griffith and written by Peter B. Kyne and John Lynch. The film stars T. Roy Barnes, Seena Owen, William Norris, Tom Lewis, Louis Wolheim, and Fred Huntley. The film, which is based upon the short story "The Go-Getter" by Peter B. Kyne, was released April 8, 1923, by Paramount Pictures. A fragmentary print of the film is held in a private collection.

As described in a film publication, Margaret "Peg" O'Connell (Taylor), according to her uncle's will, is to be educated in England under the supervision of her aunt, Mrs. Chichester (Lewis). Upon her arrival from Ireland, she is looked down upon by the Chichester household for her lack of culture, and she vows never to become a lady. She meets Jerry, a young man from a neighboring estate, who becomes her friend. Then she discovers that he is Sir Gerald Adair (Hamilton) and rebels at the deception he has been conducting. She also finds out that the only reason her aunt is keeping her is because of compensation from the will. Peg leaves to return home, but finds that she is in love with Gerald. Gerald follows her and proposes.

The film is set during final days of Czarist Russia and revolves around a peasant who rises through the ranks of the Russian army ending up a Lieutenant. His life is made increasingly difficult by the aristocrats and officers around him who are resentful of his progress. He then finds himself rejected by a princess he falls in love with and, having been caught in her room, is put in prison. There he is stripped of his rank but soon after the Russian Civil War starts and as a result of the Red Terror the tables are turned.
