The Iroquois Trail is a 1950 American western film directed by Phil Karlson and starring George Montgomery, Brenda Marshall and Glenn Langan. It is set during the French-Indian War. It is an adaptation of James Fenimore Cooper's 1826 work The Last of the Mohicans, with significant alterations. As with the book, one of the major plot lines in based on the Siege of Fort William Henry and the subsequent massacre.
Synopsis
In 1757 the French around Montreal are poised to move south. A young American volunteer in the British Army Sergeant Tom Cutler is sent northwards carrying a dispatch which orders the garrison of Fort Williams to reinforce the vulnerable Crown Point outpost. Cutler is murdered on the way by two men acting as British scouts, one of whom is a Ogane, a French-allied Huron posing as a Mohawk. Crown Point is not relieved in time and falls to the FrenchActors

In Depression-era Los Angeles, Guy Gabaldon gets into a fight at school when another boy snitches about his breaking into a grocery store. In Northern Italy in 1944, the entire population of the village of Reanoto is massacred by the SS under the command of the cruel Sturmbannführer Taussig (Jacques Sernas) for helping the Italian resistance movement. In Vienna, 1956, after Soviet tanks crush the Hungarian uprising, American adventurer Michael Reynolds (Richard Widmark) is hired by an international espionage ring to smuggle a noted scholar and resistance leader, Professor Jansci (Walter Rilla), out of Communist-ruled Hungary during the Hungarian Revolution. American expatriate gambler Murphy's luck is running from bad to worse. Twenty seven days after the attack on Pearl Harbor Murphy has lost his fortune in a high-stakes poker game, is beaten up by some of his many creditors and is trapped in the Philippines during the Japanese invasion. He is comforted by an elderly priest Fr Osgood who laments the fact that he has a pass to ride on a United States Army Air Forces DC-3 evacuating American civilians to Australia when he would rather minister to the troubled souls who will be left behind to face the Japanese. Murphy supports the priest in his decision by allowing the priest to give him his pass so Murphy can escape to Australia. He gleefully dons a pair of spectacles and a cassock to impersonate the 74-year-old priest.
