Ultimo minuto (also known as The Last Minute) is a 1989 Italian comedy-drama film directed by Pupi Avati. The film won the David di Donatello for best sound (to Raffaele De Luca) and for best original song (to Riz Ortolani).

Synopsis

Walter Ferroni est le directeur sportif d'une équipe de football qui végète au bas du classement dans la « série A » des années 1980. Les problèmes financiers, les crises de colère et la passion sont le quotidien. Après des années de difficultés et de budgétisation dans le rouge Ferroni réussit à faire acheter l'équipe par le riche industriel Carlo Di Carlo, pensant en garder la direction mais le nouveau président, avec méthode entrepreneuriale, le retire du bureau et gère personnellement l'équipe en embauchant de nouveaux managers....

En provenance de Modène, le diplômé Luigi Stanzani arrive à Bologne pour travailler dans une banque. Luigi partage l'appartement avec Dario, le fils d'un ami de la famille. Timide et maladroit, Luigi a du mal à s'intégrer, ses relations restent éphémères et ses collègues abusent de lui.
