Synopsis
A woman goes into a train station and runs into a man standing in the middle of the floor. He attempts to help her pick up her belongings, and she protests. This interaction makes her miss her train, and when she leaves the station she can not find her wallet. She makes her way to a cafeteria and takes a salad, and pays for it while informing the waiter that she may not have enough money. After she sits down, she realizes that she has no cutlery, and returns to the service counter for a fork. When she comes back, she finds an African American man who appears to be homeless sitting down and eating a salad. She sits down and informs the man that that is her salad. He ignores her at first then laughs at her continued protests. She then attempts to take the salad away from him, at which point he slams his fist on the table and yells, frightening her. She watches him eat for several moments, not sure what else to do. Finally, the woman grabs her fork and snatches a piece of salad off of the plate. The man doesn't stop her and she does it again and again. The man begins to mimic the way she eats and together they finish the salad. Afterwards, the man gets up and returns with two cups (assumed to be tea or coffee), and offers her sugar, which she declines. He then reaches into his pocket and pulls out a packet, which she accepts, opens, and puts in her drink. She brings the cup up to her mouth, but then puts it down and leaves the restaurant.Actors

Début des années 1960. Copains depuis l'âge de 7 ans, Niila et Matti vivent à Pajala, bourgade paumée du nord de la Suède. Tout change le jour où Niila échange la bible de sa grand-mère contre un 45-tours des Beatles. Avec leur nouveau professeur de musique, lui et Matti décident de monter un groupe de rock... Une tragi-comédie exquise et très rythmée, qui joue sur une multitude de registres : on y trouve à la fois le côté chronique adolescente du Péril jeune de Cédric Klapisch, le psychédélisme d'Emir Kusturica, le laconisme d'Aki Kaurismaki et les doutes d'Ingmar Bergman. L'occasion aussi de revoir la sublime Kati Outinen, qui interprète la mère de Niila.

Four cousins: an emigrant, narcissistic Myra (Janice de Belen), eloquent Faye (Arlene Mulach) and former clergyman Donald (Herbert Bautista) gather in their late uncle's house to get their inheritance of 5 million pesos each. Their uncle's butler told them if one of them dies within a month, his/her inheritance goes to the others. Each of them were given the responsibility of taking care of a comic book written by their uncle. The cousins show no interest to their comic books, except Donald, and throw it away. Meanwhile, their emigrant cousin was killed by Filomena, a malakat from one of his uncle's comics.
