The Unsaved (Romanian: La limita de jos a cerului) is a 2013 Moldovan drama film directed by Igor Cobileanski. It has been selected as the Moldovan entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 87th Academy Awards.

Synopsis

Viorel vit avec sa mère dans une petite ville oubliée de Moldavie. Il n’a pas de grandes ambitions, ni d’illusions sur la vie. Pour gagner un peu d’argent, il vend de la came. Il est pourtant grand temps qu’il prenne sa vie en main, d’autant que la fille qu’il aime, lorgne du coin de l’œil un voyou… Comment grandir dans un bled qui n’offre aucune perspective de vie meilleure ?

Trois ermites aînés, Charlie (Gilbert Sicotte), Tom (Rémy Girard) et Boychuck (Kenneth Welsh), vivent dans la forêt de l'abitibienne, isolés du reste du monde. Gertrude veut fuir la clinique médicale et aboutit chez Charlie et Tom qui se rebutent au début ; nouvelle vie, nouvelle identité, Gertrude devient Marie-Desneige. S'en suit un idylle amoureuse touchante et lumineuse.

The mainly evil Mantis Fist school and the righteous Eagle Claw have fought out a bitter rivalry over many years. The culmination in this progressive clash is the death of the Eagle's Claw school master due to a severe beating by his savage, eccentric rival. The Driver (Ryan O'Neal) - real name unknown - has made a career out of stealing cars to use as getaway vehicles in big-time robberies all over Los Angeles.
