Synopsis
Olivia, une romancière parisienne connue, anime à La Ciotat un atelier d'écriture avec un groupe de jeunes en insertion. Elle est notamment intriguée par Antoine, un jeune homme taciturne et peu sociable, qui fait bientôt figure de « mouton noir » du groupe où il fait des propositions d'écriture que les autres jugent choquantes. Olivia et Antoine, qui cherche une échappatoire à son quotidien en s'imprégnant d'une idéologie d'extrême droite, nouent un rapport empreint d'attraction-répulsion.Actors

This film opens with a home video of the slaughter with a captive bolt pistol of a pig on a European farm. The video rewinds to play the slaughter in slow motion, which emphasizes the hand-held barrel against the pig's fore-skull and the cartridge explosion. A party centered on a game called Pilot and Passengers is broken up by Georg and Anna, when they return home while the party is in progress. The host of the party, Eva, is their daughter who lives in another part of town and who has, it turns out in questioning of Benny after the incident, taken advantage of the planned absence of Georg and Anna to host the impromptu party in their home. While watching a newscast, Georg and Anna discuss the money Eva won in the pyramid scheme she was promoting at the party. Klaus, a former Nazi German doctor who practiced horrific experiments with children during World War II, has continued with his sick attraction for torturing and killing young boys during his exile in a remote village in Catalonia. His latest victim is a child he has tortured and later kills with a blow to the head, taking photographs of the crime. This sadistic act has been witnessed by Angelo, another of Klaus' victims, who has spied him from a window, later stealing the tortured incriminating writings and photographs of the doctor's crimes. Klaus tries to commit suicide jumping from a tower, but he survives. As a result of his failed attempt he is now unable to breathe on his own and is immobile, confined permanently in an iron lung to survive.
