Synopsis
Tom Chan, Dick Ching and his older cousin Hairy Mo live in the same tenement building but each of their love life is different. Tom and his girlfriend Joyce are totally harmonic, but nonetheless love have become feelings. During one time looking for lust in a nightclub, Tom meets a stunning PR girl, Cat. The two fall in love with each other but since Tom's weeding date is getting close, he needs to make a tough decision. Dick is a playboy who often pursues sex without love. Sometimes at night without a pursuing object, Dick would spend the night with Wai-fong. At this point, Tom's younger sister, Pearl, returns to Hong Kong from the US and Dick feels lost of Pearl's passion. On the other hand, Dick realizes that he had always loved Wai-fong but she has gone elsewhere when he wants to express his love. Hairy is a bachelor who meets a divorce man Michelle, who turns out to be a homosexual man. Later, Hairy dates a girl named Francis who strikingly resembles his idol Vivian Chow, something unexpectedly for this unbearably lonely man.Actors

Fred and Keith were childhood friends who dreamed of being triad members. As their became adults, they have achieved the dream and joined many gangs. However, after all the boss dies, the two were considered as jinxes by people and no gangs want to take them in. The two then depend on themselves to do business and got a prostitute from Singapore, Jane. Jane, however, believed she was supposed to be model and the two of them did not have courage to put her to work. Jane is also later found out to be a lesbian. Later, famous triad leader Kwan comes and takes Fred and Keith in to prove to people that he is invulnerable to their jinx. Under Kwan, these two manage to become triad heroes. However, later thing go wrong and Kwan is turned against the two and they must strike back to protect themselves.

Finding North tells the story of Rhonda (Makkena), a bank teller who's depressed upon turning 30, and Travis (Hickey), a gay man who's recently lost his lover to AIDS and grown suicidal. Travis receives an audio tape recorded by his lover, Bobby, before his death which sends him on a scavenger hunt of sorts to Bobby's home town in Texas. Through a series of mishaps, Rhonda ends up accompanying him on his journey. Together they follow Bobby's instructions as best they can, collecting items that represent Bobby's past, despite the many changes to the town in the years since Bobby left. Ultimately they end up at the grave site Bobby's parents had prepared for him decades earlier. They bury the collected items at Bobby's instruction and together start to try "finding north" (an expression of Bobby's; "when things hit rock bottom, sure as hell can't get any further south, might as well start finding north").

Joe (Veronica Kedar) is a drug dealer who was born in New York but lives in Israel. She travels from Bangkok to Tel Aviv smuggling drugs. Joe delivers the drugs to Abigail (Romi Aboulafia) who tells her to meet at the club 'Dark Eighties' later that night in order to sell the drugs. Belle (Sivan Levy) a patient staying at Tel Aviv Psychiatric Hospital is released into the care of her mother (Florence Bloch), yet after learning that her parents got rid of her pet 'Fred' she runs away. She climbs onto the roof of a building and strips off her clothes to commit suicide. Before jumping she notices an open window and decides to go inside. After getting close to the window she finds it is in fact closed but she smashes it and goes inside anyway.

Chuck Levine, a womanizing bachelor, and Larry Valentine, a widower struggling to raise his two children, are two veteran New York City fire fighters. During a routine sweep of a burned building, a segment of floor collapses on Chuck. However, Larry quickly shields him from the falling debris, saving his life. Later, he and Chuck wake up in a hospital, where Chuck vows to repay Larry in any way possible. This incident serves as a catalyst for Larry's epiphany: death is both inevitable and unpredictable. This prompts him to significantly increase his life insurance policy, but he runs into difficulties naming his children as primary beneficiaries in his policy. He is told he should get remarried so his new spouse could be the primary beneficiary; however, it doesn't specify who he has to marry. Inspired by a newspaper article about domestic partnerships, Larry asks Chuck to enter a civil union with him. Although Chuck declines at first, he is reminded of his debt to Larry and finally agrees, entering a domestic partnership and becoming Larry's primary beneficiary in the event of his death. To their dismay, however, New York City investigators soon arrive to inquire about their abrupt partnership, under suspicion of fraud. Chuck and Larry decide to enlist the help of lawyer Alex McDonough, played by Jessica Biel, who suggests they get married and move in together to prove they're committed. Chuck reluctantly agrees. The pair soon travel to Canada for a quick marriage (so quick they use a nearby homeless person as the best man) and begin living together.
