Synopsis
Le comte Boris a fui la Russie pendant la Révolution avec les joyaux de la couronne, dans le but de les revendre et aider ses compatriotes affamés avec l'argent obtenu. Des escrocs internationaux, Carstock, Hansen et Fogarty, désirent s'emparer des bijoux pour les revendre à Hammond, un millionnaire. Les joyaux ayant été envoyés à Yokohama par Boris, ils s'y rendent, mais Hansen rencontre une jeune femme, Marie, pendant le voyage et décide de changer de vie. Alors qu'ils se trouvent tous dans la chambre forte où sont stockés les bijoux, un tremblement de terre intervient qui les bloque à l'intérieur pour plusieurs jours. Boris meurt, Hansen prend les bijoux et promet de les utiliser à bon escient. Il est sauvé avec Marie et ils vont se marier.Actors

As described in a film magazine, following the close of the London social season, Katharine (Ferguson) suggests to her husband that they take a trip to Africa, and when Sir Claude (Hare) learns that there is excellent hunting, the pair book passage. Out in the desert Katharine meets Benchaalal (de Cordoba), who is proud of his conquests of the feminine tourists. In the moonlight of the beautiful desert Benchaalal declares his love for Katharine. Sir Claude, through accident, learns of Benchaalal and returns home unexpectedly from a hunting expedition. Not finding Katharine in the apartment, he becomes suspicious and going out on the mountain sees Benchaalal and Katharine in the desert below. Benchaalal endeavors to take Katharine into his arms, but Katharine frees herself from the undesired embrace. Sir Charles is about to fire upon Benchaalal when the man is killed by a crazed merchant. Reconciliation and a happy reunion take place between Sir Claude and Katharine.

Marianne, vedette de music-hall, est sur le point d'épouser le marquis Antoine de Fontaine. Informée par la presse qui rapporte cet événement parisien, une bande de voleurs projette de dérober le somptueux collier de diamants que possède la famille de l'aristocrate, collier qui ne sort du coffre de la banque que lorsque l'héritier du lignage se marie. La bande fait venir d'Angleterre un spécialiste capable d'ouvrir le coffre-fort de la villa. Le soir de la réception, les complices sont sur place : Jean le cambrioleur est introduit dans la villa par le "vicomte", tandis que ses deux aides Bébé et Minus attendent à l'extérieur. Tout se déroule comme prévu, mais quand Marianne et Jean se croisent dans le hall, chacun des deux reconnaît en l'autre un amour de jadis. Tous deux s'échappent alors discrètement de la maison et retournent sur les lieux de leur passé : les quais de la Seine et leur ancien hôtel sis dans l'impasse des Deux-Anges. Alors que Marianne est entre deux hommes, elle ne devine pas que Jean vit un autre dilemme : il est en possession du collier mais il abandonne ses complices. Une fois devant l'hôtel maintenant en ruines, le couple constate qu'il est poursuivi par les gangsters, qui ont compris que Jean est en train de les doubler. Ayant provisoirement échappé à la bande, ils retournent à la villa.

Based upon a summary in a film publication, Joan Grainger (Hampton) is about to be "sent up" to prison after being falsely accused of stealing when she is kidnapped by Bennett Barton (McDonald), mastermind of a band of crooks of which Simpson (Singleton) is a member. Joan accepts Bennett's assistance when he sends her to Europe and later joins her. They live in luxury when she meets John Warren (Woodward), a wealthy American. Joan receives her first jar of suspicion when Bennett introduces her to John as being Bennett's daughter. Bennett later tells her the plan is for her to marry John so that they will have access to the money. The girl rebels but Bennett threatens to send her back to prison or, still worse, expose her to John, with whom she has now fallen in love. The entire party return to the United States where Bennett forces Joan to accept John's proposal of marriage. In the meantime some members of Bennett's gang have double-crossed him and tell Joan of the original theft frame-up. A signed confession is secured from the girl that did the framing. In the effort to secure the confession, Bennett is killed by Simpson, who had been after the "goods" on Bennett. John is willing to have Joan despite all of this and they are happy.
