Didier (Kaminka), Philippe (Ogouz) and Georges (Beller) were born the same day at the same hour in the same room as the war was ending. A few years later, in school, the three boys are courting, each in his way, the beautiful Edina (Claudia Wells), also born at the same time, such affection leave quite indifferent, so that it does not hesitate to denounce them when are too urgent. In the age of thirty, the three friends yet still have not reached their goal and they are desperate to do this one day, Edina has indeed disappeared. Abandoning the idea to live without her, the three men set off in his research and eventually find her exposed to the advances of a fashion photographer they get rid laboriously after escaping three babes enamored, Patricia (Claude Jade), Carole (Chantal Goya) and Nicole (Nicole Jamet). Only in Hell, after the accidental death of Edina, the triple suicide and a short passage to Paradise Didier Georges and Philippe will finally realize their dream! ...
Synopsis
Didier, Georges et Philippe sont nés le même jour, à la même heure, dans la même pièce, alors que la Seconde Guerre mondiale touchait à sa fin. Quelques années plus tard, les trois garçons courtisent Édina que ces marques d'affection laissent tout à fait indifférente, au point qu'elle n'hésite pas à les dénoncer lorsqu'ils se font trop pressants. À trente ans, pourtant, les trois amis n'ont toujours pas atteint leur but et ils se désespèrent d'y parvenir un jour, d'autant qu'Édina a bel et bien disparu. Abandonnant alors l'idée de vivre sans elle, les trois hommes se lancent à sa recherche et finissent par la retrouver en butte aux avances d'un photographe de mode dont ils se débarrassent laborieusement après avoir échappé à trois minettes énamourées : Patricia, Carole et Minette. Et pourtant, pas plus qu'avant, la « Belle » ne consent à les aimer.Actors

One night, Lucy (Judy Davis) gets a taxi to the home of author Harry Block (Woody Allen). She has just read Harry's latest novel. In the novel, the character Leslie (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is having an affair with her sister's husband Ken (Richard Benjamin). Lucy is angry because the novel is patently based on her and Harry's own affair; as a result, everyone knows about it. Lucy pulls a gun out of her purse, saying she will kill herself. She then turns the gun on Harry and begins firing. She chases him out onto the roof. Harry insists that he has already been punished: his latest girlfriend Fay (Elisabeth Shue) has left him for his best friend Larry (Billy Crystal). To distract Lucy, Harry tells her a story he is currently writing: a semi-autobiographical story of a sex-obsessed young man named Harvey (Tobey Maguire) who is mistakenly claimed by Death.

In 1840 New Hampshire, poor, downtrodden farmer Jabez Stone (James Craig) is broke, plagued by bad luck; with the local money-lender, Miser Stevens, about to foreclose on his farm, Jabez has reached the limit of his endurance. After a series of mishaps, he impulsively declares that he would sell his soul to the Devil for two cents, and moments later the Devil appears, calling himself "Mr. Scratch" (Walter Huston). He appears to offer Jabez a bargain - sell his soul, in return for seven years of good luck and prosperity. Scratch tempts Jabez by magically revealing a hoard of Hessian gold coins, which appears from under the barn floor and, unable to resist the lure of the gold, Jabez signs the contract. He begins his new life with hope, paying off his debts, buying new tools and supplies, and new clothes for his wife and mother. While the women are shopping, Jabez meets and becomes friends with famous New Hampshire Congressman and orator Daniel Webster (Edward Arnold), a friend of his wife's family, and a widely-loved figure who champions the cause of the poor farmers - although we learn that Webster himself is being tempted by Mr. Scratch to sell his soul, in return for fulfilling his ambition to become President.

The story follows music composer/singer Winslow Leach, seen by satanic record producer Swan during his performance as a back-up to the 1950s-style nostalgia band The Juicy Fruits, which Swan produces. Swan believes Winslow's music perfect to open "The Paradise" – Swan's highly anticipated new concert hall – and has his right-hand man Arnold Philbin steal it. One month later Winslow goes to Swan's Death Records to inquire about his music but he is thrown out. He sneaks into Swan's private mansion, and observes several women rehearsing his music for an audition. One is Phoenix, an aspiring singer, whom Winslow deems perfect for his music and the two quickly fall for one another. Winslow realizes Swan's plan to open the Paradise with his music. Winslow sneaks in and Swan orders his minions to beat up Winslow and frame him for drug dealing.
