Ungeküsst soll man nicht schlafen gehn (You should not go to sleep unkissed) is a 1936 Austrian comedy film. The screenplay was written by Fritz Koselka, the title song was composed by Robert Stolz, and the movie was directed by E. W. Emo. The film, shot in black and white, starred the three most popular German-speaking comedians of the time—Heinz Rühmann, Hans Moser and Theo Lingen. The leading roles were played by Liane Haid and Annie Rosar.

Synopsis

En tant que majordome, Ferdinand Unterleitner n'a pas la vie facile dans la maison du célèbre producteur de disques Fritz Wiesinger. Alors que son neveu Franz Angerer, majordome comme lui, vient lui rendre visite de façon inattendue, son patron croit que l'invité surprise est le manager de la grande actrice de cinéma Edda Vivian. Au fur et à mesure que le film avance, la confusion grandit.

Le petit village d'Arnstein dans la Wachau : Le village célèbre sa nouvelle installation portuaire et attend avec impatience les premiers touristes. Mais seulement une jeune femme descend du navire de passagers: Helga n'est même pas une touriste, mais elle vient voir son ancienne nourrice, Theres. Helga étudie l'architecture d'intérieur à Vienne, mais s'est séparée de son fiancé, le professeur Herdmenger, peu de temps avant la fin de ses études et a maintenant besoin de distance de la grande ville. Mais Theres, l'aubergiste, a des problèmes : les commerces vont mal, ils sont très endettés et l'auberge elle-même est sur la mauvaise pente. The young Count Georg Wolkersheim (Willy Fritsch) is sent to the Congress of Vienna to represent the interests of his country, Reuss-Schleiz-Greiz. Tensions arise between the count, his wife Melanie (Maria Holst), and their two chamberlains (Hans Moser and Theo Lingen), and when the four of them attend a court ball, Melanie leaves Georg, assumes the identity of a famous actress, and attracts the affections of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria (Fred Liewehr). Georg quits the ball and returns to his lodgings to wait for his wife. Meanwhile, the two servants plot to further inflame Georg's jealousy by posing as Ludwig to commission a portrait of Melanie from the famous artist Moritz Daffinger (Egon von Jordan). The next day, however, Georg and Daffinger expose the servants' ruse, Ludwig reveals to Melanie that he has discovered her true identity, and all is forgiven.

Il est toujours amoureux de Käthe et attend son retour avec impatience. Elle en a choisi un autre.
