Vasantam (Telugu: వసంతం, vasaṃtaṃ ) is a Tollywood film produced by N.V.Prasad & Sanam Naga Ashok kumar on Sri Sai Deva Productions banner, directed by Vikraman. Starring Venkatesh, Arti Agarwal, Kalyani in lead roles and music is composed by S. A. Rajkumar. The film opened simultaneously alongside the Tamil version of the film, Priyamaana Thozhi.
Synopsis
Ashok (Venkatesh) and Julie (Kalyani) are childhood, friends. Ashok is like a family member of Julie's family. They are pretty close and they believe that friendship is above love. They do not have any love feelings towards each other. After they grow up Julie's father (Chandra Mohan) dies and Ashok brings Julie to his house and she stays along with his family. Nandini (Arti Agarwal) is from a rich family and Ashok falls in love with her and they get married. The rest of film revolves around how Ashok and Nandini get Julie married.Actors

Venakteswarlu alias Venky (Venkatesh) comes to the house of Murthy (Prakash Raj) on recommendation of his father Sekhar (Chandra Mohan) who is a childhood friend of Murthy. Nandini alias Nandu (Arti Agarwal) is the daughter of Murthy. Venky enters that place when Nandu is about to get engaged to a software professional from the USA. Soon, Venky bonds with everyone from Murthy's family. Murthy helps Venky secure a job. The relationship between Venky and Nandu starts with hatred and turns into friendship. Nandu confessess her love for Venky to him. Venky, who does not want to spoil the relationship between their parents, decides to leave the house. But Murthy goes to the railway station and talks to Venky, which causes Venky to return. On his return, Nandu stops speaking to him. When Venky accompanies Nandu and Pinky (Nandu's cousin) to Nandu's friend Asha's wedding, sparks fly between them.Even though Venky also is in love with Nandu, he does not express it and pretends to not have feelings for Nandu.When they get back, its time for Nandu's wedding! Ashok (Madhavan) and Julie (Sridevi Vijaykumar) have been friends ever since childhood and they don't share any love interest. The basic story of the movie involves Laila and Suriya falling in love. A 3rd character gets entangled in the plot and Laila is compelled by her family to marry him. Heart-broken Suriya leaves her alone, but only to find out that the man she is engaged to marry is a total crook. In trying to prove this to Laila, Suriya always ends up in situations where he looks like the crook. Infuriated and disgusted Laila yells at Suriya telling him to back off. Suriya then officially leaves her alone. Sneha gets weaved into the plot and ends up falling for Suriya's charm, and fastidious behaviour and they end up having great times together, that is until Laila comes back all heart-broken after finding out her boyfriend wants nothing further to do with her as he was going to marry someone else. Upon seeing this Suriya becomes greatly disturbed and helps Laila out in all the ways he can. In the end Laila is moving back to her hometown and at the train station asks for Suriya's hand in marriage, only to find that he is not interested. He states that love isn't like a tape-recorder to play over and over again, it only comes once. He tells her he is now only interested in Sneha who will wait for him all her life. He sees her off and is leaving the train station when Sneha runs up to him. They both smile at each other and walk off into the sun set.

Vellaichaamy (Vijayakanth) thinks the world of his three brothers, even giving up marriage when he learns that the woman he loves plans to send them to a hostel after the wedding. Radha (Roja) is an illegitimate daughter who lives in her father's house as a maidservant with her step mother and father. The step mother's brother, Sanjay (Ajith Kumar) comes from Canada to visit Roja and her family. He said he likes her but needs at least 3 months to decide if she has the right qualities in a wife before he agrees to marry her. One day, two thieves Selvam (Karthik) and his friend steals a God statue from a temple and hide inside Radha's father's house while the elders are away. Radha finds them and lock them inside the house for 3 days. After 3 days, Radha gives Selvam some meaningful advice before he leaves. Selvam seems to have a liking of Radha and later he comes to know about Radha's story about her family and Sanjay. One day, her step mother throws her out of the house for accusing her of stealing her gold necklace and leaving a cigarette in a drawer. Selvam then finds a place for her in a hostel and makes many sacrifices in order to make her a famous singer.

Sakthivel Gounder (Sarath Kumar) is one of the most respected, educated and wealthiest men in his district.
