Vetri Padigal is a 1991 Tamil thriller film directed by Manobala. The film features Ramki and Nirosha in the lead roles, with Srividya, R. Sarathkumar, V. K. Ramasamy, Jaiganesh and Vinu Chakravarthy playing supporting roles. The film had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja and was released on 15 March 1991.

Synopsis

A robbery gang terrorized the Tamil Nadu. The police officer Mahesh (Ramki) is charged to dismantle the gang. Mahesh lives with his widow and blind sister Vidya (Srividya) and his niece Anu. The reporter Vimala (Nirosha) compels Mahesh for an interview but he refuses and she falls in love with him. They later fall in love with each other.
