(Russel's name is misspelled in the opening credits as "Tony Russell".) The film's story and screenplay were written by Ivan Reiner and Renato Moretti.
This is the second film in the Gamma-One series. It follows Wild, Wild Planet (aka I Criminali della Galassia ("Criminals of the Galaxy")) and precedes War Between the Planets (aka Il Pianeta Errante ("Planet on the Prowl")) and Snow Devils (aka La Morte Viene dal Pianeta Aytin ("Death Comes From The Planet Aytin")).
Synopsis
The film begins on New Year's Eve in the middle of the 21st century. After space station Alpha-Two reports impossible "negative radiation" readings and loses contact with United Democracies (U.D.) headquarters, Captain Tice and his crew are sent to investigate. They find the Alpha-Two crew immobilized, some dead, before coming under attack themselves by green glowing energy beings. The creatures immobilize Tice's team and the space station disappears entirely. On space station Gamma-One, Commander Halstead sends ships to investigate the remaining space stations and evacuates all but a skeleton crew. Meanwhile on Earth, the creatures have possessed Captain Dubois and use him to break into the Institute for Advanced Sciences's nuclear reactor. The possessed Dubois sends the U.D. a message offering "symbiotic partnership" for "the good of the whole".Actors

Dans une station spatiale réservée aux forces de police, alors que Connie entraîne de jeunes recrues au close-combat, le commandant Mike Halstead reçoit un message urgent. Dr. Fred Steele (Umberto Orsini) and Eve Barnett (Maya Brent) work together at an astronomical station on a bucolic island. The Southern Sun is a generation ship, or a spacefaring vessel that contains a large number of people, whose mission is to colonize a new world. Its voyage has lasted generations, so many of its inhabitants have been born and will die without ever setting foot on solid ground. This does not please the antagonist, Elijah Kalgan, who conspires with the pirates infesting the nearby Corona Borealis system and the ship’s Chief Engineer MacPhearson. The film begins in an unnamed war-torn European city in the late 18th century (dubbed "The Age of Reason" in an opening caption), where, amid explosions and gunfire from a large Turkish army outside the city gates, a fanciful touring stage production of Baron Munchausen's life and adventures is taking place.
