Par le trou de la serrure est un film français réalisé par Ferdinand Zecca, sorti en 1901.
Ce film reprend les découvertes des anglais de l'École de Brighton, et notamment de George Albert Smith (Ce qu'on voit dans un télescope et La Loupe de grand-maman), et initie en France le film à connotation érotique et de voyeurisme.
Synopsis
Le valet de chambre d'un hôtel jette un coup d'œil indiscret par les serrures de ses clients. Dans la première chambre, il épie une jolie jeune femme en déshabillé, qui peigne son abondante chevelure. Retour sur le palier, le valet signifie par des gestes adressés au public (la caméra) que la jeune femme est « bien roulée » (voir regard caméra). Dans la deuxième chambre, il remarque une femme qui se démaquille, enlève sa perruque et se révèle être un travesti. Retour sur le palier, le valet prend un air dégoûté. Dans la troisième chambre, il voit un couple, dont la femme, légèrement vêtue, est assise sur les genoux de son amant, une bouteille de champagne trône sur le guéridon. Retour sur le palier, le valet secoue la main en signe de connivence, une belle nuit d'amour se prépare. Le valet se dirige vers une autre porte, mais l'occupant, un monsieur furieux, en sort à cet instant et entreprend de boxer le valet indélicat.Comments

Dr. Victor Frankenstein loses his job as a school teacher after being scolded by Professor Van Sloane for sleeping with his daughter, Debbie Sloane. After presenting Eve as a sister of Ingrid, he reveals the true nature of the woman as a result of his experiment. Leon Phelps (the "Ladies Man") was a Saturday Night Live character played by Tim Meadows during the 1990s. The sketch was that of a broadcast program in which Phelps, a young, suave black man, would give dubious romantic advice and lovemaking tips. In 1958 the Merlin law made brothels illegal in Italy. Adua, Lolita, Marilina and Millie are four prostitutes whose brothel in Rome is shut down. Under Adua's leadership, they pool their savings, 500,000 lire apiece, to open a restaurant on the outskirts of Rome. They buy a run-down building, and hire workmen to fix it up, but when they apply to open the restaurant, their permit is rejected because of their history of prostitution. One of Adua's former customers, Ercoli, agrees to buy the building, use his connections, and get the permit in his name, but he expects them to run the restaurant as a front and work as a brothel on the upper floors, in return for a rent of 1 million lire a month.
