Synopsis
Les affaires de Jason, quinquagénaire et important financier, commencent à péricliter. Son angoisse s'assortit d'une diminution inquiétante de son érection, ce qui fait naître sa peur de ne plus pouvoir satisfaire Laura, sa jeune maîtresse. Tout en essayant de sauver son patrimoine financier convoité par un redoutable adversaire, Jason recourt à différentes méthodes pour tenter de pallier sa virilité défaillante : consultations psychiatriques, stimulations grâce au voyeurisme et autres excitations auxquelles se prête sa petite amie compatissante et même visite à une professionnelle du sexe. Mais rien n'y fait : sans cesse assailli par des fantasmes, son traumatisme s'aggrave et fait surgir des pensées suicidaires.Actors

Les souvenirs après la mort de sa mère hantent Coco Chanel. Jean-Claude (25) and Pierrot (23) are young sociopathic men who travel around France, committing petty crimes and running from the law. After they get in trouble with a hairdresser in Valence for stealing his car, they grab his pistol and kidnap his assistant Marie-Ange, an apathetic girl. Then, the four consider founding a crime family but at their first crime, an attempted robbery, Jacques commits a revenge killing and the others flee. While on the run, they meet a family having a picnic near Col d'Izoard and the delinquent teenage daughter Jacqueline wants to join them. They take Jacqueline and on learning that she is still a virgin, they decide to deflower her. After dropping Jacqueline, the three ride away aimlessly.

The plot centers on the handsome Belgian sailor Georges Querelle, who is also a thief and murderer. In Ravenna, Italy, Giuliana (Monica Vitti) is walking with her young son, Valerio, towards the petrochemical plant managed by her husband, Ugo. Passing workers who are on strike, Giuliana nervously and impulsively purchases a half-eaten sandwich from one of the workers. They are surrounded by strange industrial structures and debris that create inhuman images and sounds. Inside the plant, Ugo (Carlo Chionetti) is talking with a visiting business associate, Corrado Zeller (Richard Harris), who is looking to recruit workers for an industrial operation in Patagonia, Argentina. Ugo and Corrado converse comfortably in the noisy factory. Ugo tells Corrado that his wife, Giuliana, had a recent auto accident, and though she was physically unhurt, she has not been right mentally. That night in their apartment, Giuliana becomes highly agitated and fearful over a dream she had about sinking in quicksand. Ugo is unable to calm her or understand what she's experiencing.
