Robert Creel "Brad" Davis (November 6, 1949 – September 8, 1991) was an American actor, known for starring in the 1978 film Midnight Express and 1982 film Querelle.
Death
Diagnosed with HIV in 1985, Davis kept his condition a secret until shortly before his death at age 41, on September 8, 1991 in Los Angeles. It was revealed in a book proposal that Davis had written before his death that he had to keep his medical condition a secret in order to be able to continue to work and support his family.
Although the announcement said he died of AIDS, he actually died of an intentional drug overdose. Near death and in severe pain in a hospital, he opted to end his life on his own terms. With his wife and a family friend present, he committed assisted suicide. Susan Davis continues to campaign to combat AIDS.

Davis married Susan Bluestein, an Emmy Award-winning casting director. They had one child, Alex, a transgender man born as Alexandra. Davis acknowledged having had sex with men and being bisexual in an interview with Boze Hadleigh.Death

Rosalie Greenspace is an expedite German woman living in rural Arkansas with her eccentric American husband Ray, who works as a crop-duster airplane pilot. Bill et Myrtle Moon, un couple âgé, patrons d'une épicerie-station-service d'un village de Caroline du Sud, sont braqués et froidement abattus par Rudolph Tyner, un petit voyou un peu retardé. Celui-ci, qui a déjà un casier judiciaire, est immédiatement appréhendé par la police qui le trouve en possession d'une petite somme d'argent correspondant à la recette de l'épicerie et d'une cartouche de fusil. Son avocat plaide la culpabilité, Tyner est condamné à la chaise électrique, mais d'appel en appel, sa peine est constamment reportée (il n'y a pas eu d'exécution capitale depuis vingt ans en Caroline du Sud). Excédé par cette procédure qui s'éternise alors qu'il attendait une exécution exemplaire, Tony Cimo, le fils adoptif de Bill Moon, d'abord hostile aux suggestions d'auto-justice qui lui sont faites par un adepte, en vient à les accepter. Par la bande, il entre en contact téléphonique avec Lamar Sands, un prisonnier chargé de la maintenance du pénitencier où est incarcéré Tyner. Sands, moyennant finances, accepte de liquider Tyner et, après de vaines tentatives d'empoisonnement, lui fait exploser la tête avec un poste de radio bidouillé avec une charge de plastic. La police découvre dans l'atelier de la prison l'enregistrement de l'un des entretiens téléphoniques de Sands avec Tony. Ce dernier est rapidement arrêté et condamné à une réclusion de 5 ans pour complicité de meurtre, plus 8 pour préméditation et usage d'explosif, et encore 8 pour non-dénonciation d'acte criminel, mais n'en purgera finalement que 3. À la suite de cette affaire, la Caroline du Sud rétablit la peine capitale.

The plot centers on the handsome Belgian sailor Georges Querelle, who is also a thief and murderer. When his ship, the Vengeur, arrives in Brest, he visits the Feria, a bar and brothel for sailors run by the madame Lysiane, whose lover Robert is Querelle's brother. On October 6, 1970, while on holiday in Istanbul, Turkey, American college student Billy Hayes straps 2 kg of hashish blocks to his chest. While attempting to board a plane back to the United States with his girlfriend, Billy is arrested by Turkish police on high alert due to fear of terrorist attacks. He is strip-searched, photographed and questioned. After a while, a shadowy American (who is never named, but is nicknamed "Tex" by Billy due to his thick Texan accent) arrives, takes Billy to a police station and translates for Billy for one of the detectives. On questioning Billy tells them that he bought the hashish from a taxicab driver, and offers to help the police track him down in exchange for his release. Billy goes with the police to a nearby market and points out the cab driver, but when they go to arrest the cabbie, it becomes apparent that the police have no intention of keeping their end of the deal with Billy. He sees an opportunity and makes a run for it, only to get cornered and recaptured by the mysterious American.

In The Gambia, West Africa, in 1750 Kunta Kinte is born to Omoro Kinte (Thalmus Rasulala), a Mandinka warrior, and his wife, Binta (Cicely Tyson). When Kunta (LeVar Burton) reaches the age of 15, he and a group of other adolescent boys take part in tribal manhood training, ending with a ceremony, after which they become recognized as men and Mandinka warriors. While trying to carry out a task to catch a bird and take it home unharmed, Kunta sees white men carrying firearms, along with their black collaborators. Later, while fetching wood outside his village to make a drum for his younger brother, Kunta is captured by black collaborators under the direction of white men.
