Real name Bella Cullen
Isabella Marie "Bella" Swan (later Bella Cullen) is a character and the protagonist of the Twilight series, written by Stephenie Meyer. The Twilight series, consisting of the novels Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, is primarily narrated from Bella's point of view. In the film series, Bella is portrayed by actress Kristen Stewart.
In Twilight, Bella moves to her father's home in Forks, Washington, meets the mysterious Cullen family, and falls in love with Edward Cullen. However, she soon discovers that the family is a coven of vampires. Bella expresses a desire to become a vampire herself, against Edward's wishes. In the second novel, New Moon, Edward and the other Cullens leave Forks in an effort to keep Bella safe from the vampire world. Jacob Black, a member of the Quileute tribe who is also a shape shifter taking a wolf form, comforts the distraught and severely depressed Bella. She comes to care deeply for Jacob, though less than she loves Edward. At the end of Eclipse, Bella becomes engaged to Edward, and they marry in Breaking Dawn. On their honeymoon, she becomes pregnant by Edward and, due to the peculiar nature of her baby, Bella nearly dies giving birth to their daughter, Renesmee Cullen. Edward turns her into a vampire to save her life.
Biography
Bella, après avoir emménagé chez son père à Forks, rencontre la mystérieuse famille Cullen et tombe éperdument amoureuse d'Edward Cullen. Cependant, elle découvre rapidement la vérité sur leurs mystérieux comportements : ce sont des vampires.Désespérée de ne pas pouvoir vivre éternellement aux côtés d'Edward, Bella fait le vœu d'être transformée pour rester avec lui. Opposé à cette mutation et conscient des risques qu'il lui fait courir en restant avec elle, Edward quitte Forks avec sa famille.
Plongée dans une dépression profonde, c'est grâce à Jacob Black, son meilleur ami, qu'elle s'en sortira. Loup-garou faisant partie des Quileutes, Jacob l'aide à vivre avec cette déception. Jaloux d'Edward, il provoque un quiproquo qui précipite Bella et Alice, sa meilleure amie et future belle-sœur, à Volterra en Italie.
À leur retour, Bella doit faire un choix entre Edward et Jacob, sachant qu'ils sont à présent ennemis, même si tous deux veulent continuer à veiller sur Bella. Conscients de la situation, ils vont se battre pour garder l'amour de Bella.
Edward lui ayant demandé sa main, elle accepte. Lorsque Jacob l'apprend, il veut aller tuer des vampires pendant une bataille, et Bella, pour le retenir, l'embrasse.
Après le mariage d'Edward et de Bella, pendant leur lune de miel, Bella tombe enceinte. Elle manque de mourir en accouchant. Edward, fou de douleur et ne voulant pas la mort de son épouse, lui injecte son venin dans le cœur au dernier moment, pour la sauver. Bella est désormais un vampire.
Après la naissance de Renesmée Cullen, la fille de Bella et Edward, Jacob sera imprégné de Renesmée.
Quand Bella se réveille pour profiter de la vie en tant que vampire, elle commence par chasser, puis voir sa fille. Renesmée lui montre son don, qui est de communiquer d'un simple toucher sur la joue.

Bella awakens from her transformation from human to vampire, aware of her new abilities, but unaware of changes within the coven, such as Jacob having imprinted on her child, Renesmee. It also appears that Bella's father, Charlie, has been attempting to contact the Cullens for updates on Bella's illness. They intend to tell him she didn't survive, which requires that they move out of Forks, Washington to protect their identities. Jacob, desperate not to lose Renesmee, tells Charlie that his daughter is in fact alive and well, and explains that Bella has had to change in order to survive. He morphs into a wolf, revealing his tribe's shape-shifting power, but does not tell Charlie about vampires.

Bella Swan is getting ready for her wedding. During the reception, her best friend, Jacob Black the were-wolf returns after hearing about Bella and Edward's engagement. While dancing with him in the woods, away from everyone else, Bella admits that she and Edward plan to consummate their marriage on their honeymoon while she's still human. Jacob becomes furious, knowing that Edward could easily kill Bella but the other wolves restrain him from hurting Edward.

Back in Forks, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) discuss the complications of becoming an immortal vampire. At 18 years old, one year older than the age Edward was when he became a vampire, Bella expresses her aversion to the idea of marrying so young, though Edward refuses to turn her into a vampire until they are married, his argument that she should have various human experiences she would otherwise miss. While Charlie Swan (Billy Burke) investigates the disappearance of Riley Biers, Edward suspects his disappearance was caused by the newborn vampires, furthering his suspicions is Riley's intrusion into Bella's room.

On her 18th birthday, Bella Swan wakes up from a dream in which she sees herself as an old woman. She expresses her distaste about growing older than her boyfriend Edward Cullen, a vampire who stopped aging physically at 17. Despite her lack of enthusiasm, Edward's adoptive family throw Bella a birthday party. While unwrapping a gift, Bella gets a paper cut. Seventeen-year-old Isabella "Bella" Swan moves to Forks, a small town on the Washington coast, to live with her father, Charlie. Her mother, Renée, is remarried to a minor league baseball player, and they are often traveling. Bella makes many friends at her new high school, but she is intrigued by the mysterious and aloof Cullen siblings. Bella sits next to Edward Cullen in biology class on her first day of school, but he seems to be repulsed by her. A few days later, Bella is nearly struck by a van in the school parking lot. Edward saves her by instantaneously covering a distance of some 30 feet and putting himself between Bella and the van, stopping it without injury with only his hand. He subsequently refuses to explain his actions to Bella and warns her against befriending him.
