Aarani Satyanarayana or Arani Satyanarayana (Telugu: ఆరణి సత్యనారాయణ) (November 11, 1898 - July 2, 1969) is a Telugu film and Drama actor during the early period of Telugu cinema.

He is born in Sangadi Gunta village in Guntur district in 1898. He has acted in Gayopakhyanam drana as Satyabhama at the age of 14 years in 1912.

He has entered Cinema industry during Silent movie time introduced by R. S. Prakash in 1921. He later acted in Ramadasu (1933) of Ghantasala Balaramayya. He got good name for portraying the role of Vidura in Draupadi Vastrapaharanam (1936) of Saraswati Talkies. He has acted in Kanakatara, Balayogini, Dharmangada, Ratnamala, Laila Majnu and played various roles.

He has joined as Accountant in Vinoda Pictures and acted in their Devadasu and Shanti films.

Chandika (Kannamba) is the princess of a kingdom. She is unhappy with the ruling of King Giriraju (Gaggaiah). She wants to dethrone him and his husband prince to become the rajah. She has attracted the maharaja and kills him. During the encounter, she loses her husband. She could not control the Minister Veeramallu (Raghava), finally succumbs and commits suicide.

Sarasa's (K. R. Chellam) father is arrested by Police for being a debtor. She goes to the sub collector's (K. B. Vatsal) house to ask for help. The collector's widowed sister Janaki and her niece (Baby Saroja) take pity on her. They are driven out of the house by the angry collector. They take refuge in the house of their low-caste servant Munuswamy. Munuswamy dies and Janaki cares for his children as her own. This causes outrage in the conservative society and Munuswamy's house is burned down by a mob. The child Saroja changes everyone's mind with her arguments.

The story is based on the Mahabharata episode of Draupadi Vastrapaharanam. It depicts the episode in which Draupadi is publicly humiliated by the Kauravas. It occurs after Yudhisthara and other Pandavas loses her in a game of dice to Duryodhana. As the Kauravas try to insult her by removing her clothes, she prays to Lord Krishna. He comes to her aid by making her Sari longer and longer.
