Anand is an Indian film actor who has acted in Indian regional films. The actor's biggest film til date is Mani Ratnam's comedy thriller film Thiruda Thiruda, but unlike his co-stars of that film, it failed to give him a breakthrough. He has also played second lead roles and supporting characters in several films including Kamal Haasan's Sathya and Vijayakanth's Poonthotta Kaavalkaaran. His brother Bharat Arun played international cricket for India.
After his stint in films, he moved on to appear in Tamil television serials including Idhayam.

The lead character Raman (Dileep), is an employee in a rice mill in Pune. He used to carry the rice to the mill for processing on a bicycle. Later he decides to buy an auto rickshaw and goes to his village to collect the money that his parents invested in his name in a post office in his hometown 30 years ago. One way to his hometown by train, he befriends a girl krishnendu, who happen's to be his father's arch enemy's daughter. Once he reaches his village he ends up in his father's rivals (krishnendu's) home and later comes to know that they are awaiting to kill him. Raman takes advantage of a tradition of their house that not even one drop of blood should fall inside the house to keep himself alive. Whether or not he comes alive forms rest of the plot of the movie.

After a recollection of his childhood memory in which he meets a police officer while being chased by three men, Rockstar Gautham (Mahesh Babu) kills one of the three men (Kelly Dorji) and informs the police. Inspector John Basha (Sayaji Shinde) takes him into custody. A news reporter Sameera (Kriti Sanon) who recorded the incident airs the video and shows that Gautham had imagined killing Dorji. Gautham's recollection continues and he tells the police officer that his parents were killed in a bus.

Manu Varma (Dileep) lands in Bombay to join an IT firm Quadra Infortek as executive assistant to C.M.O Priya.S. Nair (Mamta Mohandas). He has a B Tech degree and passed with distinction in 2004 but has no work experience until 2013. Priya is shocked seeing his reports and his distinction and asks why chose this job and he says it's because of family problems. Manu's boss Priya is a witch of a woman, an Australian citizen. Palamattathu Varghese Mappila (Saikumar) is a wealthy Nasrani and retired captain from the Indian Army. He has four children, Christy (Mohanlal), Joji (Dileep), Jessy (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy) and Stella (Kanika). Christy is a high profile police informer who is working in Mumbai and getting high amounts as remuneration. His brother Joji goes to Italy to study theology, but later opts out of it after he falls in love with Meenakshi (Kavya Madhavan), daughter of the state home minister (Devan). His family has no clear idea about the nature of Christy's activities before Christy's brother-in-law tells a lie about him as Christy finds about brother-in-law's relationship between rowdies and cases which he was arrested for sex-racketing . All these come as a shock to Varghese Mappila. Varghese Mappila kicks Christy out of their house believing the brother-in-law. Joji is having a relationship with Meenakshi. Her parents come to know about that. And while returning home she is being kidnapped. For regaining the daughter her father calls Christy. Christy finds that his brother-in-law was the person who kidnapped Meenakshi. He fights with his brother-in-law and safely brings Meenakshi back to her home. The next day, police finds that Christy's brother-in-law was killed. Police arrests Christy for the crime. Christy's friend (Sarath Kumar) brings him out of the jail. Meanwhile, a police officer (Suresh Gopi) marries Stella. Christy helps Joji to marry Meenakshi by bringing her out of her house. Both Christy and the police officer finds out the killer of their brother-in-law was Joji. Knowing that the killer was Joji, Christy tells the police officer to arrest him instead of his beloved brother Joji.Meawhile, the villains attack mappila.To take revenge of his fathers death, christy along with gopi and sarath kumar kill the villains.

The story takes place in a remote village where the majority of the people are Christians. Solomon (Dileep), the son of GeeVarghese sexton (Vijayaraghavan), a simple soul who is quiet in nature and fears virtually everything around, thus earning the nickname Kunjaadu (little lamb). His mother, Mary (Vinaya Prasad),was Ittichan's (Innocent) (a rich landlord) crush. He named his daughter Mary (Bhavana) after Solomon's mother. He wanted Solomon to love his daughter dearly and then he would marry her to some other person so that he gets to know the pain that he felt when he lost his lover. He promises the church that he will give another cross made out of gold to the church if Solomon marries some other girl but if he wants to marry his daughter then Solomon must give a cross to church. Mary (Bhavana) has been in love with Solomon right from their childhood days. Meanwhile, a man (Biju Menon) with rugged looks comes to Solomon's house and Solomon, who is overjoyed at getting some fearless company, gets the man accepted by his whole family under the guise that he is his long-lost brother Jose. He does so much for the family and gets involved in agriculture and develops the families living. Later, Solomon finds that there is more to his so-called brother than he thought initially,where he has killed a girl and was imprisoned for 7 years. Finally he finds that Jose has stolen the cross and hid it in Solomon's land 7 years ago and came again to take it. Solomon warns his family that even if is their brother, he should be watched or else he'll burn down the house. Their parents don't take it seriouly but later when the family is away, Jose burns the house down and everyone thinks it is Solomon who did it. Solomon later finds out that Jose's old friend who also wants the golden cross was the one who killed the girl, who was Jose's wife. A fight occurs between Solomon and both the thieves. Jose's friend get smashed down and rings the church bell telling that he got cross and saves Jose by telling that he was the one who help him capture the thief, and because Solomon always considered him as a brother. everyone becomes happy and Ittichan gives his daughter's hand to Solomon.
