Angela Yeung (born 28 February 1989), better known by her stage name Angelababy, is a Hong Kong model, actress, and singer. Her stage name came from the combination of her English name "Angela" and her nickname "Baby". She is dubbed the Kim Kardashian of China.

Biography

Angelababy had been dating Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming for six years. In November, 2010, Angelababy arranged a birthday party for Huang Xiaoming and already met his parents. In February 2011, Huang Xiaoming went to Hong Kong to celebrate Angelababy's birthday. During that time, he notably called Angelababy, his "partner". However their relationship was not revealed to the public until 2014 on Angelababy's birthday. Huang Xiaoming hid in a car which he gave Angelababy as a birthday present and gave her a surprise. It was the first time they acknowledged their relationship toward the media. On 27 May 2015 they obtained their marriage certificate in Qingdao, China and their wedding banquet took place in Shanghai on 8 October 2015. The date they got the certificate means "I love my wife"(我爱妻) in Mandarin, and the date of the wedding banquet was the date Angelababy first met Huang Xiaoming years ago. The wedding banquet was reported to be one of the most lavish in China's history with an reported estimate of US$31 million. It was reported they've invited half of the entertainment circle by Chinese media.

Prior to dating Huang Xiaoming, Angelababy dated Hong Kong actor and singer William Chan.

In October 2015, Angelababy sued a Ruili clinic for US$80,000 for defamation after it alleged that her face had undergone plastic surgery. As requested by the Beijing judge, Angelababy underwent examination to certify the authenticity of her face in a plastic surgery hospital in Beijing. The hospital chief pronounced that Angelababy's looks were genuine.
