The Chinese Pilot (中国机长, Zhongguo jizhang, litt. « Le Pilote chinois ») est un film catastrophe chinois réalisé par Andrew Lau et sorti en 2019 en Chine. L'histoire est basée sur l'incident du vol 3U8633 du 14 mai 2018 lors duquel un avion de ligne est forcé d'atterrir d'urgence après la rupture du pare-brise du cockpit.
Il est premier du box-office chinois de 2019 lors de sa première semaine d'exploitation.
Synopsis
Le capitaine Liu Chuanjian (Zhang Hanyu) se prépare pour un vol de routine de Chongqing à Lhassa avec ses deux co-pilotes, Xu Ruichen (Oho Ou ) et Liang Peng (Du Jiang) ainsi que les hôtesses de l'air supervisées par Bi Nan (Yuan Quan ). L'appareil, un Airbus A319, semble n'avoir aucune irrégularité. Quarante minutes après le décollage, à 32 000 pieds d'altitude, le pare-brise éclate, aspirant l'un des copilotes dehors. L'avion se dépressurise et sa communication radio devient inopérante. Pour aggraver les choses, l'avion est coupé du site d'atterrissage d'urgence le plus proche situé sur le plateau tibétain par une tempête. Le capitaine Liu Chuanjian et son équipage sont les seuls espoirs de survie des 119 passagers.Actors

In 1943, having expended enormous resources on recapturing escaped Allied prisoners of war (POWs), the Germans move the most determined to a new, high-security prisoner of war camp. The commandant, Luftwaffe Colonel von Luger (Hannes Messemer), tells the senior British officer, Group Captain Ramsey (James Donald), "There will be no escapes from this camp." Von Luger points out the various features of the new camp designed to prevent escape, as well as the perks the prisoners will receive as an incentive not to try. After several failed escape attempts on the first day, the POWs settle into life at the prison camp.

On July 4th, 2005, in a fictionalized United States alternate history reality, two towns in Texas: El Paso and Abilene were destroyed by twin nuclear attacks that triggered a catastrophe of unimaginable proportions, sending America into a state of anarchy and hysteria, as well as a Third World War (a fictionalized perspective of what the War on Terror would've escalated to). The PATRIOT Act has extended authority to a new agency known as US-IDent, which keeps constant surveillance on citizens—even to the extent of censoring the Internet and requiring fingerprints to access computers and bank accounts. In response to the recent fuel shortage in the wake of global warfare, the German company Treer designs a generator of inexhaustible energy, which is propelled by the perpetual motion of ocean currents, called "Fluid Karma". However, its inventor Baron von Westphalen and his associates are hiding the fact that the generators alter the ocean's currents and cause the Earth to slow its rotation, and that the transmission of Fluid Karma to portable receivers (via quantum entanglement) is ripping holes in the fabric of space and time.
