Bazelli reçut un Independent's Spirit Award en 1990 pour son travail sur The King of New York. Il a reçu un Clio Award de la meilleure photographie en 1998, et le film Kalifornia a reçu le prix de la Meilleure photographie au Festival de Montréal.

Biography
Bojan Bazelli a fait ses études à la FAMU de Prague. Impressionné par un des films d'étudiants de Bazelli, le réalisateur Abel Ferrara recruta ce dernier pour le tournage de son film China Girl, à New York. Bojan Bazelli continua à travailler avec Abel Ferrara par la suite, pour les films The King of New York et Body Snatchers. Il est un des rares directeurs de la photographie contemporains à avoir exercé cette fonction directement, sans commencer par d'autres rôles moins importants.Bazelli reçut un Independent's Spirit Award en 1990 pour son travail sur The King of New York. Il a reçu un Clio Award de la meilleure photographie en 1998, et le film Kalifornia a reçu le prix de la Meilleure photographie au Festival de Montréal.

In AD 740, the mighty magician Merlin (James A. Stephens) has three apprentices. One, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina), betrays his master by joining forces with the evil sorceress Morgana le Fay (Alice Krige). Morgana mortally wounds Merlin before another apprentice, Veronica Gorloisen (Monica Bellucci), absorbs Morgana, body and soul, into her own body. As Morgana tries to kill Veronica by possessing her from within, the third and final apprentice, Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage), stops her by imprisoning Morgana and Veronica in the "Grimhold", a magic prison in the shape of a nesting doll. Before dying, Merlin gives Balthazar a dragon ring that will identify the Prime Merlinian, Merlin's successor and the only one able to defeat Morgana. While he searches for his successor throughout history, Balthazar imprisons Morganians, sorcerers who try to release Morgana, including Horvath, into successive layers on the Grimhold.

Ali Rose (Aguilera) moves to Los Angeles after she quits her bar job when her boss refuses to pay her. The film revolves around a special team of trained secret agent animals, equipped with advanced tools that allows the mammalian members to talk to humans. The primary field team consists of guinea pigs Darwin (team leader), Juarez (martial arts), and Blaster (weapons/transportation), star-nosed mole Speckles (cyber intelligence) and fly Mooch (reconnaissance). The unit's leader Ben, orders an unauthorised infiltration of the residence of home electronics and appliances magnate, Leonard Saber, the owner of Saberling Technology, who has been under FBI investigation. The team is able to retrieve sensitive information about a sinister scheme that is set to occur in 48 hours. However, when Ben's superior arrives for his evaluation, his astonishment at the team's capabilities and technology is overcome by his indignation at Ben's unauthorized mission and the fact that the downloaded intelligence appears to be useless information about Saber's coffee makers. As a result, the government agent orders the unit shut down, the equipment seized and the animals to be used as experimental subjects to be killed. With the help of their human compatriots, Darwin, Juarez, Blaster, Mooch and Speckles escape with hopes of stopping Saber's scheme, but find themselves in a pet carrying case bound for a pet shop.

Veronica Franco (Catherine McCormack) is an adventurous, curious, slightly tomboyish young woman in Venice.
