C. Lakshmi Rajyam or shortly Lakshmirajyam (Telugu: లక్ష్మీరాజ్యం) (b: 1922 - d: 1987) is a famous South Indian film and drama actress and film producer in 1930s to 1970s.

She is native of Owk. She learned music from her uncle Narasimham and Harikatha exposition from Saluri Rajeshwara Rao at an young age. She joined the drama company of Puvvula Suri Babu along with her uncle Venkata Ramaiah. She played Nalini in Tulabaram, Chitra in Chintamani plays and earned fame. Her contemporaries are Pulipati Venkateswarlu and Puvvula Ramatilakam.

She started her film career as a child artist in Sri Krishna Leelalu (1934) and later acted in about 35 films mostly of Telugu language. She became famous actress after playing the role of second heroine in Illalu (1940) directed by Gudavalli Ramabrahmam.

She married K. Sridhar Rao and established Rajyam Pictures in 1951. They produced about 11 films including Daasi (1952), Krishna Leelalu (1959), Harischandra (1960), Narthanasala (1963), Shakuntala (1966) and Govula Gopanna (1968), Rangeli Raja (1971). He is expired on 29 July 2006 in Chennai.

On a rainy night, the highly reputed Dr. Anand(Jaishankar) is driving. He sees a mysterious woman standing by the road and gives her a lift. She introduces herself as Sandhya(Jayalalitha). As soon as she steps into the car, the wipers eerily stop working. He's even more spooked when the lady shows him the way when the path is barely visible. The mysterious woman guides him outside a cemetery. On reaching the cemetery the gates open automatically and Anand hears a song "Naane Varuven Ingum Angum".

The film’s a story of twins — one turns out to be a good girl Kamala (Vijaya) and the other, a wayward woman Vimala (Vijaya again). Kamala’s husband (Ravichandran) is in London studying Law. When she falls ill, the husband is sent for, and she dies in his arms! He erects a memorial for her in his house.

Raghu (N T Ramarao) is a government clerk lives who lives happily with his wife Manjula (Laxmirajyam) and two children. His mother Venkamma (Suryakantham), sister Kamakshi (Balasaraswathi) and her husband (Venkatramiah) live on his salary. Venkamma appropriates his earnings and Kamakshi plots to have Manujala blamed for all that goes wrong in the household. Raghu, unable to face the problems, abandons his family. Manjula has to work as a housemaid, and the children must beg on the streets. His brother Venu (ANR) lives in the village. He comes to the city, tracks down Raghu, and finds him a job. He is teased by Kamala (Pushpalata) and falls in love. He opens up the secret agenda of his mother and sister and finally joins the happy family.

Thyagayya (Nagaiah) is a villager composing devotional music to Rama while rejecting the court of Serfoji, Maharajah of Tanjore (Narayana Murthy), the dominant cultural center of the region. Turning down invitations and gifts from the Maharajah, he provokes the jealous wrath of his brother Japesen (Lingamurthy). The film's climax comes when Japesen destroys Rama's idols, Thyagaraja resurrects them eventually and sacrifices his life to his God.
