Claudia Bryar (May 18, 1918 – June 16, 2011) was an American actress who mostly specialized in television. Active from the 1950s to the 1980s, she is perhaps best known for her role as Mrs. Emma Spool in Psycho II.

She played small parts in mostly Western television series such as Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Guns of Will Sonnett, but also The Real McCoys, The Bob Newhart Show, The Andy Griffith Show, and The Twilight Zone (Episode: "Mute"). She appeared in small roles in such films as I Was A Teenage Frankenstein and Bad Company. She appeared in made-for-television movies such as Alexander: The Other Side of Dawn (1977) and The Family Nobody Wanted (1975). Her career ended with her role of Mrs. Prince in Hill Street Blues.

In the early 1920s in Kansas, Eli is a barnstorming stunt pilot, whose wife was killed in an airplane crash. He and his 11-year-old son, Rodger set off to fly around the country on a series of adventures. Wherever he lands Eli finds a new girlfriend, but likes one in particular, Shelby. In 1881 in Old Fort Sumner, New Mexico, William H. Bonney, known as Billy the Kid (Kris Kristofferson), is passing the time with friends shooting chickens for fun. A group of soldiers pulls up to a modest white house and goes inside. Moments later, they exit, dragging a boy in a dress who is frantically resisting them. The soldiers throw the boy in a wagon with other boys, one of whom is also dressed as a woman to avoid conscription. At the Dixon home, the soldiers search for Drew (Barry Brown) despite his mother's protest. She explains that she has already lost one son to the war. When the soldiers leave, Drew emerges from his hiding place. His parents give him $100 and urge him to go West, giving him their picture and his brother's watch as mementos.
